I read the biography too, but I didn't draw the same conclusions as you. It's true that Curtis was fascinated by the greatness of Nazi Germany, but that means little. I can also be fascinated by the cult of the Goddess Kali, but that doesn't mean I'm devoted to it. The biography also mentions that Curtis had a soft spot for Bob Marley and other reggae groups, so that story about him "leaning towards racism" is either false or the guy had serious consistency issues.

@Massicrass: No, they haven't received the recognition they deserve in my opinion, although something is shifting; after all, that's why I review them: they deserve to be known more. The trilogy "Alles Ist Gut"-"Gold Un Liebe"-"Fur Immer" is spectacular, especially the first two, which are fundamental masterpieces for the invention of EBM and precursors to techno. The great and late John Peel aptly referred to them as the "Grandfathers of Techno." Nevertheless, this early punk phase is also interesting, and the 2003 reunion is not to be underestimated either. Regarding "Alles Ist Gut," if you're interested, I wrote the review some time ago (though not very well).

@Zerstorer: the rapid metamorphosis is due to the fact that after the second LP, only two of them remained (Görl and Delgado), and so the electronic turn was both a choice and a necessity. The gap between the second and third albums is very clear, even if a few tracks from "Die Kleinen Und Die Bösen" anticipate that dry and minimalistic electronic sound that will be developed in the albums produced with Plank.

@TheJoke: the CD is available for purchase (label Mute!) and it's even mid-price. Zerstorer rightly says that D.a.f. have nothing to do with Einstürzende because he knows their electronic phase, the most famous one, but in this album they come a bit closer to the early works of the Berliners, although unlike Blixa and company, they use only classic rock instruments. Anyway, I’ve included the samples, you decide!

Fluff of a movie that clumsily alternates between porn scenes and shootouts, but what's worse is that it even has artistic pretensions. Better to watch the old films of Umberto Lenzi at this point; at least there was a hint of irony in those.
