a discussion worthy of Grillo's blog for its length...what can I say...it's perhaps the most distressing film I've ever seen, a dramatic experience for the viewer, scenically I think it's extraordinary, but the historical accuracy is debatable...it's a shame about the bloody scenes that essentially make it a pulp film and borderline watchable...less Catholic fanaticism would have turned it into a masterpiece of cinema...what a pity...as it happens...

I don't think it's just about the proliferation of reviews for a single album... I believe it's fair to write 200, as long as each new one adds value to those already written. I would love to write about albums that have already been wonderfully reviewed, but I don't do it simply because I would consider my writing pointless if not for the personal pleasure of writing. There you go. The question I pose to the reviewer is whether, before writing their piece, they had the chance to read the two already written (one is mine) and what opinion they formed about them. Hi.

it's a crap album (just like the review)...well below Metallica's potential...let's hope for the new one...

a beautiful album, meant for lovers of all kinds of music and not for die-hard metal fans and nostalgic ones... in some ways essential...

I just wonder why...why?...why?...who made you do it?...what pushed you?

I've finally got it, and it seems really beautiful to me at the first listen.

If I had a bit more time, I would have liked to review it; this one by Primiballi comes at an opportune moment since the previous one left much to be desired. What can I say? It’s a complex album, in some ways darker than usual, both in themes and in music. I’m absorbing it slowly, like everything that proves difficult in life. It’s not easy to accept an album that fundamentally talks about death without ever explicitly mentioning it. And the music is a kind of modern requiem, if you’ll allow me. I believe the comparison to Panella's whites is appropriate, albums appreciated by a select few, and I say this without vanity; it’s simply a fact. Il Vuoto fits into the trajectory of those albums that will be loved madly by some or completely rejected by others. I won’t deny that I’m gradually entering the first of those categories... However, the discussion remains open. I give a nice 5 to the review, and since it has captivated me so much, a 5 to the album as well...

forgive me the big grammar mistake caused by too much lasagna... :-)

redundant review and frankly too long... I'm still digesting the album. The first impressions were negative, but now it grows with each listen. Never judge Battiato before you’ve fully metabolized him. While waiting for the summer, "Io chi sono?" already rightfully belongs among the gems of our discography...

Well... the amount of crap that’s been published today should last for a month... I hope the editors have survived such a deluge of manure...
