Well, birobiro... enya is not just a newcomer; she's an artist in her own right and of decent caliber... this album, indeed, sucks, but try revisiting Watermark and then we can talk... x the punisher: has no one ever recommended a sedative to you? You’re tough, unnecessarily violent, and, in the end, completely inconclusive. Instead, try critiquing a band that you actually like for a change, and judge it with feeling but also with a fairly neutral and objective eye. Brillant review, though.

Great review, Grasshopper: it's exactly what I think regarding this squandering and degradation of Christmas into a shameful system of exchanging useless gifts aimed solely at the economic boost of large industries; but what can you do, my dear? It’s not even right to respond: on one hand, the false goodness, the blatant hypocrisy, and the utopia of a better world are values that have been sullied billions of times and have become, due to this ignoble exploitation, thoroughly banal and repelling; but on the other hand, there are the countless protests and various renunciations and declarations of distinction from the masses by the well-meaning, the pseudo-intellectuals, the pseudo-revolutionaries, and the academics who, in their thirst for anti-conformism, too often have penned long and detailed discourses on the hypocrisy that pervades the masses on Christmas Day, the very hypocrisy of which they are glaring witnesses. Thus, the wisest and most intelligent choice remains inevitably that of silence.
What matters is to fight internally against the powerful media apparatus that bombards and numbs us with its frivolities, cloaking its profit-driven and self-interested motives...
And, yes, Grasshopper, it seems to me a great weapon for this long fight to the last drop of blood to spend Christmas Eve turning off the Christmas Concert where the horrific Gigi D'Alessio performs one of his nauseating renditions and put on some good records to better enjoy such a magical and symbolic moment that catches us one by one as direct protagonists of the people we come from, of the culture from which we have grown, of the person we claim to be.

Beautiful, but a small inaccuracy: it wasn't Warhol who discovered the Velvet Underground, but rather THE EXACT OPPOSITE!!!!!

Ugly. Ucca, you have a style very similar to Em@... (and then don't say I'm not perceptive)... If that's not the case, I'm sorry...
Anyway, Ucca, you need to understand that you have to convey more feeling and more objective judgment - not just as a die-hard and blinded Floyd fan (a band that I admire and respect, by the way). It's a very unpleasant review because it fails to describe this absolute masterpiece of music with both rationality and, at the same time, emotion...
And don't just limit yourself to describing its sales... Robbie Williams has sold way more than the Floyd, but look at the crap he produces...
I hope, and I don't doubt it, that next time you'll write something better.

An interesting review indeed; one point less because, although it conveyed well what you meant, it made me gag in the first part. ;D
