Francesco De Gregori Miramare 19.04.1989
Voto:
I never thought of De Gregori as a hard-rock musician, let alone. However, try listening again to the songs from this album in the various live performances in the following years; I think you can hear some differences. He himself has said in various interviews that he could have made a more "assertive" album. If you get a chance, read "Quello che non so lo so cantare"; it's a biography that I highly recommend, by the way. In any case, happy holidays!

I almost forgot: Stivala, in addition to being the guitarist, is also a co-writer of the music. Hats off!

Errata corrige: it is BRUMANTICA that is the science dealing with the fog of the river.

Nice review. Maximum respect for Vanoni, but she's not my style, and I don't like her voice.

X LORD: "Bastasù"? Are you from my neck of the woods, by any chance?
Edoardo Bennato E' arrivato un bastimento
Voto:
Bennato should absolutely not be considered an "untouchable institution," especially in light of the recent nonsense he's been involved in (as you can also read in some of the comments above). However, the current mess should not detract from the goodness of certain things done in the past, that's all.

...and then I've NEVER seen "Tomorrow never knows" in the oblivion. Very superficial review.

How varied the world is... For some, this album is the "worst of the worst of the worst," for others it's good, for others still it's amazing. I find it very good, definitely one of Bennato's best, after which there's an impressive phase of disconnection, one of those with a risk of breaking your neck.

For me, it is NOT servility to say that this is a good album, definitely the best one from NY in at least the last 10 years. Then, if someone wants to put Bob Dylan together with Renato Zero and Renzo Arbore, well...
