I remember an interview from back then (1975, when interviews were still given, at least to newspapers), where Lucio explained that with this album he aimed to encourage the listener to live and engage with the music. "When one speaks among others, they don't shout but they don't remain silent either, and if their voice interests those listening, it is understood perhaps with a little more effort. I meant to stimulate the listener, maybe even making them play the record from the beginning again and perhaps irritating them because they didn't quite get it" (I can't recall the exact words, but that was the gist). "I could have made another number 1 album, but I wanted to put myself on the line again."
