Vasco Rossi Gli spari sopra
Voto:
For me, this is one of Vasco Rossi's best albums, apart from a few songs, as the author says. I also remember when the "very likable" and not at all touchy Gianni Boncompagni had Ambra sing "Delusa" with the lyrics changed to "però quel Vasco Rossi lì". Level of butthurt 10,000...
Francesco De Gregori La donna cannone
Voto:
"Luckily, there is always someone who sings
And takes our sadness away
Otherwise, our life would be like a little boat in the middle of the sea
Where, between the girl and the mine, there seems to be no boundary
Where life is piecework
And the heart a bush of thorns"
La grande bellezza is here.
Ryan Adams Gold
Voto:
A beautiful album, I bought it myself when it came out and I’ve always liked it. I was quite moved listening to "New York, New York" just a few days after September 11, 2001...
Tom Petty Wildflowers
Voto:
And here comes Tom Petty's masterpiece. A beautiful album that is always a great pleasure to listen to.

"Hand me down" is one of my favorite travel songs...
Bob Dylan Time Out Of Mind
Voto:
Old Bob has always been unpredictable. When it seemed he was heading toward a "by the book" career ending, with cover albums (albeit very good ones) or records with little substance like "Under the Red Sky," suddenly he pulls out a masterpiece. This "Time Out of Mind" amazed me at the time (and it still surprises me, at least in part, every time I listen to it again).

The fact that in the last twenty years (at least) they’ve become rather insignificant doesn’t take away from the fact that, at the beginning, U2 really knew what they were doing. A great album with moments of absolute value like "Gloria," "I threw a brick through a window," and "Fire."
Creedence Clearwater Revival Pendulum (1970)
Voto:
And there are those who describe "Pendulum" as a minor album in CCR's discography. If all "minor albums" were like this one, how many more masterpieces would there be around.
Oasis Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants
Voto:
For me, an album that's a bit underrated. It contains some great songs like the single "Go let it out," "Gas panic!" and the beautiful closing track "Roll it over."
Iggy Pop The Idiot
Voto:
I hated the 1986 album "Blah Blah Blah" (in an old review I said that "it was Iggy imitating David Bowie when he was trying to be Iggy"). This one, on the other hand, I have always liked a lot, especially "China Girl," which is much grittier than David Bowie's poppier version.
