Well ngw e lukin maybe we "met" at Maffia at least in the first season (1995) when about ten individuals opened it, among them yours truly and Fox (president). Perhaps between a punk festival and a ska concert, interspersed with the new electronic sounds that characterized the club.

Monsieur Sfascia, I was referring to the Living Colour from Vivid for the voice of this new singer, which reminds me of that along with a certain attitude towards cross-over (black, soul, rock, hip-hop). These may be my unfounded impressions, but the new Sofa seem like a different band compared to the previous ones. You are crazy about them, and I unplug for the sake of de gustibus ;)

Well done. But the magical realism you refer to in the texts is comparable to that of master Garcia Marquez? Because if so, we are faced with a talent that is, besides musical, also literary and lately even cinematic. A deus-ex-machina, in short :-) I perceive him more as a curious and introspective prophet but with many (too many?) truths in his pocket.

Nice review. He never captured me; I preferred the sarcasm of Rino Gaetano. Perhaps a parallel with Rino in terms of artistic attitude might fit.

Ah well... then you’re missing some pieces to complete the puzzle of these Austrians. Get your hands on the main piece, that is CARGO dark and threatening like a bass line that slips into your bed. Dub & krauts, no way it's just guitar & vocals that Living Colour were rocking ten years prior... Enjoy your meal ;-)

www.widerecords.com, an alternative historical distributor. They are good and reliable.

You're right, Mr. Nob. I’m really disappointed; it's like finding an hermaphrodite under the sheets. Some might like it, but it’s something completely different from everything they’ve done. For me, it’s a trivial story, already heard and with little chance of glory, if that's what they're after...

Smiling and sometimes laughing heartily while revisiting certain videos and certain imagery. What could be more beautiful than making fun of ourselves and lightening the mood... ps: Mister Nobody, if you want to do a good deed, take a look at the review of Mouse on Mars because the reviewer Francesco is having an identity crisis after the latest comments and it would be a shame to lose him since he’s one of the few covering alternative music here on DeB. He needs a pat on the back; I’d gladly give him one.

Well, they were beautiful for those who lived them while hormones were going crazy... Looking at them now, they make you smile a little ;-)

This album is uplifting. I believe it was for them that someone (Simon Reynolds) first coined the term post-rock. To this day, this album sounds post-everything... Regarding the second one, Codeman Dustsucker, I can only say that from the early Bark there’s only Graham Sutton, the voice.
