An ascetic before a musician. And the words you found are truly beautiful. Congratulations einsten63. This music invites meditation. Fitness for the mind. How much we would need it...

I imagined so. Besides risking legal issues... you should cut it in the first 30/40 seconds. You should use QuickTime Pro (you can find the code...) or some Mac software that works with mp3s. It requires a bit of tinkering but I don’t see other solutions. Do you use the Mac just for fun or also for work? In other words, are you somewhat familiar with software?

These days on DeB it's all a bloom of new reviewers. And of high quality, I would say. In this case, good mention, but Psychocandy will remain unattainable. I believe they have given and said almost everything there. Then they got a bit too "addicted," not just in musical terms.

Dear Mister NoBodyNoParty, I am the legal representative of Martini and I urge you to cease using this name that plagiarizes our original claim. Legal proceedings follow ;)

So, I can't really hear the samples. But did you put 30 seconds or the whole track? Anyway, I've heard various samples from different albums on iTunes. They really seem super eclectic. Sometimes they remind me of Naked City, other times there are ambient-dark sounds. In short, a very interesting group. By the way, lately on DeB, it's hard to keep up with the constant stream of interesting stuff. It's a good time for this.

Sorry Mr. Nob, but I would like to return to the subject of the review. Here are 4 pieces taken from the album "The Boys," which was born as a soundtrack. I confirm. We are dealing with a Remarkable Band. In terms of approach and intent, they remind me of Bark Psychosis. Hypnotic. Cinematic. Enchanting.

Heavens, Mr. NB, you reminded me of a truly excellent publishing house for their care and quality of proposals. I sincerely recommend: Vikram Chandra - Love and Longing in Bombay. Ah, welcome ALMATEO. Intriguing review. On iTunes, they have only an EP of four tracks "the Boys," and they really don't sound bad at all. Well done.

Hey NoBodyNoParty, but these days your inbox must be really crowded. You're in touch with half the world :) If you see Scaruffi, tell him on my behalf that listening to too many records can make one superficial and a bit snobbish. Better to have a few but good ones.
John Zorn The Gift
Voto:
Great review and excellent summary of the two genres. A monument should be made for Martin Denny, for all those who have heavily drawn from his insights. This Zorn is truly outstanding; I saw him perform after this album, with Eliott Sharp on guitar, and the live set was also very enjoyable. Well done, Morningstar.
