Everything is fascinating. However, when it comes to the ideal of beauty, we enter the realm of the subjective. It’s not out of a polemical spirit, but to my eyes, a sculpture by Miró seems more "beautiful" than one by Michelangelo, and so on. The same goes for the idea of what is musically romantic. Especially in Italy, where we have historically experienced the idea of Romanticism often as an aesthetic and moral cage.
