@Ben89: the problem is not whether to innovate or not, but to make good music. And this cannot be said too much about A Rite of Passage, which is neither innovative nor beautiful; I mean it seems bland, slow, predictable, glossy, pseudo-metal to me. @Pit: Indeed, I recommend downloading the discography of Mastodon and memorizing it; you have 4 days. Then listen to some stuff by Down, Carcass, and Napalm Death, and you'll see that Gods2009 will smile upon you! [also give a listen to Cynic]

Welcome89, the militia of the Dream Theater Defenders (DDT) just needed to bolster the front lines! May prog be with you!

"I find it hard to believe there's any difference between a character and their music." Jargon, I don't agree; think about Marilyn Manson, who can be instantly labeled a "fool," yet he has created remarkable albums (and expressed relatable concepts); but the point stands in general, especially in rock...

The review seems well written to me, even though the numerological nonsense is ridiculous and even though I haven't listened to Ligabue in years (many). For the rest, I agree with all 77 comments above me. [77? oh my God!!]

I don't know the album either. I appreciate his effort to tackle at least somewhat relevant themes, and I also appreciate his hoarse yet sharp voice, but in my opinion, it lacks substance at its core.

Finally. I tried to listen to the new single, which I found to be shockingly boring and banal. Not only are the ideas long gone, but the sound is also terribly old and stale. The review is really too long, rocky, and celebratory.

In my search for extreme music, I found them almost impossible to listen to... Unpleasant voice, mosquito-like guitar, and drums cranked up to a thousand. They are extremely violent.

I didn't listen, but I believe he followed Meg's trail in Psychodelice.
