I ended up here through a crazy twist... I glanced at it quickly and immediately rushed to get this record: from the first notes, I’d say not bad. I’ll swing by for a more in-depth listen later. For now, I’ll tell you: great recommendation.

The first one wasn't exactly a masterpiece. There was something good about it, and some sequences were funny, but it wasn't particularly focused. However, today on Studio Aperto, they said that this film is beating Vacanze di Natale: but if this movie contributes even infinitesimally to De Sica's disappearance from the face of the universe, I'll gladly give it a 5.

"famous also for other films, including Con Air" broke me... I'll read the rest later.

This year's release is evidently the result of a compromise: the record label resisted their decision to release a double album of unreleased tracks at the beginning of the year (not exactly the commercial move of the century, in fact). Not to mention that they were coming off three years of almost total absence from the scene (also not exactly a brilliant media strategy). Even the lead single was chosen by them and is definitely less radio-friendly than their previous singles (e.g., Viba, Valvonauta, Luna, etc.). Moreover, the tour sold out pretty much everywhere. From a major label's market logic, I’d say the release of the DVD makes perfect sense (especially since, as I've been told, it's mostly a collection of amateur film clips). For previous albums, they would release vinyl versions with additional unreleased tracks (and vinyl is not exactly the preferred format of teenagers), they’ve, among other things, done covers of the 13th Floor, Elvis, and the Stooges (similarly), and they've published various EPs with no promotion and minimal publicity. It still seems to me that, in proportion to the success they achieve, they are seen and heard very little. And, above all, that they continue to do what they have in mind without too much fuss (for example, the choice, criticized by many, to keep the vocals low on the last album). Then it’s obvious that if your album ranks second in the best-selling albums in Italy behind Nannini's and ahead of Jovanotti's, you might find yourself on the cover of a magazine...

I, on the other hand, continue to think they are among the best Italian (quotation marks) mainstream (quotation marks) bands. They sound great, they self-produce, they've had an obvious musical evolution, they pay great attention to their sound, and what is of enormous importance to me is that they do not pretend to teach anyone how to navigate the world. Moreover, they've always given me the feeling of playing only what they truly enjoy. If a track like "40 secondi di niente" had been written by Motorpsycho, we would share it a couple of times a week on our Facebook profile, racking up "likes." Do they boast? Let's be honest: there are plenty of other bands that have sold a fraction of what they've sold and that are just as full of themselves. Do they stay silent throughout the concert? All the better; at least I don’t have to listen to capovilliane nonsense about rock 'n' roll and the decline of contemporary society. And then, a shot to the bassist...

It had been a while since I read one of your reviews. I happily endorse Bore's comment. Well done.

Paoletto, reading this review after some time, it's not that great... Sorry, but you wrote much better ones. The film is a little gem, full of delicious scenes - the lunch at the guesthouse ("I don’t eat the first course""Very bad, because this pasta and potatoes is really good. It would make you fly!"), the cameo by Monicelli (Ah! So you’re the jerk!), the Pedretti, but above all the photo shoot (You’re awful!) - and with a very bitter ending. 5 might be too much, but 1 is really too little.
