Just to pick up on the example you mentioned about The Wall: in that case you went to the concert and the usual four jerks made you witness basically a theatrical performance of about two hours behind which, among other things, there was an immense organizational effort and tremendous technical difficulties and timing (not to mention that they still found a way to be seen by the audience: in Nobody Home Waters sang in a kind of hotel room, in Comfortably Numb Gilmour shot his solo from the top of the wall, etc.), I don't know how much concert tickets cost back then... but for sure you went to see-feel-experience-live something more than what you could see-feel-experience-live at home listening to the CD… that’s all I ask from a concert… and on Monday night that wasn't given to me!... needless to say that the whole "you don't understand shit, I understand everything because in high school my mom and dad made me study Plotinus and Spinoza so I can listen to Tool and you can't!" seems like a load of crap to me... but the world is beautiful because it is varied...

And music, as you call it, isn’t enough for me: that’s what I have a stereo and a bunch of nice CDs for. Damn it... you act all smart, and can’t understand something so simple: we’re talking about a concert, for Christ's sake! Not about Tool as such! Tool doesn’t make songs, but music?!... I can agree with you. Tool is art?!... I can agree with you. Tool puts on great concerts?!... I don’t think so! In my opinion, Maynard is an irritating frontman who doesn’t do his job as an entertainer the way I’d like. What the hell do I care if his heart beats 4/4 or at 1765/948586 or whatever?!? Tool has an excellent and undoubtedly complex musical offering, definitely also for all the psycho-anthro-cabalo-onto-fuckulogi cal aspects of this world... but live, I don’t find them engaging. And, in my opinion, a good part of the blame goes to the increasingly “character” Maynard. This is a flaw. This doesn’t take anything away from their merits in the musical field. Simply put, live, by my standards for judging a concert, they get outperformed by dozens of other bands.

Oh my God, how much resentment... I guess the one acting like a hysterical queen when someone touches their precious Maynard is you. Anyway, I’ll try to explain the concept in a simpler way and, to make it easier for you to understand, I’ll throw in a few examples. So: if I spend 35 fucking euros, if I have to leave work early, if I have to come back at two in the morning and then get up at seven, if I bust my ass trying to stay as close to the stage as possible, if I scream like a slaughtered turkey, all to go see four assholes making money by playing and selling the records that I buy, I simply expect it to be worth it. I simply expect those same four assholes (or at least the one who usually has to put in the effort—the singer, in case you didn’t get that) to do everything they can so that I don’t regret all the hassle and money that going to see them has cost me.

.."you’re the singer, I’m the fan and I demand a photo...you might be the best singer in the world, and you are!!!! but lower your pride and show some respect for those who give you 35 cocozze"..I wholeheartedly agree..certain rock-god attitudes from Mr. Maynard are starting to grate on my nerves: always turned away, the concert ended two seconds ago and he’s already in the shower...I’ll take the pictures and shove them up your ass, you fool!..enough with the talks like: "after all, he’s the enigmatic and charismatic leader"..a leader at least shows his face! there’s a difference between charisma, enigma, mysticism, mystery, cursed aura, mantra, and respect for people who put food on your table! he should stop acting like a child who hasn't gotten enough beatings from his father and just do his damn job. That said, the other three were a delight..truly gentlemen: Jones' pallor has become quite concerning, Carey’s calves as well..and I want Chancellor's jumpsuit!

I just want to chime in to suggest Coolmoon1987: their "mystical" review of 10,000 Days is a little masterpiece of idiocy!
