I bet you'll give "Power & the Glory" a "4," right?!? Well... the album and the band are undeniable, but all this praise seems a bit excessive to me: if you listen to the early albums of Saxon today, they undeniably sound dated. Moreover, there are less successful episodes here as well (e.g.: "Midnight Rider") and the lyrics, at times, seem like they were written by Elio e le storie tese (if I'm not mistaken, in "Midnight Rider" there's a part where it says something like: "We went to Niagara Falls and made a ton of friends we also met the following year..."). Just to be clear, I'm not questioning the band's importance or the beauty of the album. I just think this album doesn't fully deserve the "5" stars. Good review anyway! Bye!
