Junior Boys So This Is Goodbye

Just because you wrote about a band/album that had no reviews, I would give you a 5!..too bad it's a bit too short! Hi!

..dear lonelydreamer, I like you! so I want to meet you halfway! So: I must warn you that due to 1) the band selected for the review (one of the most delicate to tackle on this site) 2) the album chosen for the review (of which this is the third, just a few days after its release!) 3) the enthusiastic tones of the first part 4) the 4 introductory lines (come on!.. objectively useless, right?), well, for all these reasons, this page will likely become a battlefield where you (and I fear also your mother) will be the subject of mockery. As for the rest..nothing! The comment is already too long as it is and Fidia has already taken care of effectively tearing apart the album (who, before making a fool of himself, is (know this) a male!). I'm going back to sleep..bye

..for the rest, thank you so much to everyone for the beautiful comments (especially @sfascia: too kind!!!)! By now, I've come to terms with the fact that my reviews are read by just a handful of users.. and since this time it was your turn, thanks doubly!

..less doomy, less paranoid, with slightly more "human" distortions (..it would have been worrying otherwise..) and, indeed, much more NWOBHM. I apologize for the delay in my response: work ennobles man, but on a Friday it’s mostly just a pain in the ass. As for the Quartz discussion: as far as I understand, they must have been sort of the "protégés" of Black Sabbath for a while. Their first self-titled album (very seventies) was produced by Tommaso Iommi, and they collaborated with Ozzy and Brian May. The sound is more dated compared to that of WG and the "inspiration" is a bit more hidden..

Of course, the previous vote is inflated to boost the average a bit...

I’ll start by saying that black metal is crap, and really bad at that. I’ve never heard anything more boring, played by mentally ill people and wrapped up, depending on the case, either in Nordic pagan nonsense or satanist bullshit about the dark lord and the empire of evil and blah blah blah… (speaking of these guys, I remember the video for the title track where Demonaz was running down a glacier with a guitar in hand… embarrassing!). But the review itself isn’t poorly written at all. I’m not talking about the content (I only have vague memories of the album, which I thought was decent for the genre), but purely from a formal standpoint… in fact, especially in the realm of extreme metal, I’ve read stuff from people who have never seen a dictionary. This doesn’t seem to be the case here. Best regards to all.

Now I understand why during this time you’re putting out a review a day! You're on vacation!! So: a really great review for a record that, while I find very beautiful, I listen to rarely. Well done!

.."everything you desire, even if you have it in your hands but do not know how to cultivate it, thus suffocating it in our deepest self, transforming everything usable and shareable into negativity and pessimism simultaneously" ..well.. beautiful phrase!.. very.. um.. long! maybe the explanation in another review, ok?!.. you are really good, I mean it without irony.. very "devoted," in a sense.. but what a drag! your reviews seem more like elegies! Anyway, well done!

In fact, the average, as it is, is far too low... and the explanation was concise, yet effective and timely (forgive me, but I really am quite ignorant on the subject..). So I will adjust my rating!

I don't know the album, sorry. The review isn't bad. I understand very little about keyboards and similar things: can you explain to me what "keyboard often used as hammond" means?! Thanks thanks!
