..but I like it!..I’m going against my principles and giving you a "5" even though there was already a review for this record (..but it certainly wasn’t a masterpiece..). Bye!
Ghost In The Shell L'attacco dei cyborg: Original Soundtrack by Kenji Kawai

Atz!..I haven't seen it yet!..to be honest, Shirow has never been among my favorite authors..but I have good (though vague) memories of the first GITS. It's been a while since I've been in the Japanese fandom: I remember that Yoko Kanno was really outstanding when it came to soundtracks.. does anyone know if she's still around?!

Excellent analysis, congratulations! Very reasoned, but equally "felt"! Hi!

Hi Orwell, I absolutely do not want to argue, so I will try to express my opinion on what you wrote in the most assertive but least aggressive way possible. If it seems otherwise to you, know that it is just due to a pretty crappy workday. So: 1) There were already two reviews of this album, and if I remember correctly, they were quite exhaustive, if only because they offered two opinions that were distant in content but still reasonably argued. 2) This isn't even a review: it covers eight lines, but removing the titles of songs and albums, I believe it would struggle to reach six. 3) You yourself call it "particularly poor" and claim you gave it a "5" just to "support" the reviewer... in my opinion, this is also a comment that is, let's say, "intrinsically" negative. 4) We are dealing with someone who even sent the BACK of the CD!!.. do you realize?!? If this is not a fake..!!! 5) Regarding the "why are you doing this" issue.. well.. I'll turn the question back to you: what sense does it make to publish something like this?!? ..for all these reasons, I don't think your criticism is particularly well-founded... at least in this case. Bye!

A little preamble: I believe that I was, back in the day, a good fan of the BD. Equally small preamble: I believe I am, today, one of the greatest detractors of this album in the entire Moorcockian multiverse. That said: the review is utterly ridiculous...but sending the back of the CD made me snicker! Not even Korn had ever done such a thing! Bye!
Forgotten Tomb Springtime Depression

..ehm.. honestly, I also found the tones of the review a bit too elevated.. then, please forgive me, personally the image of "Morbid chained and helpless, screaming his anger at the dark vault of a cave" made me laugh out loud!!!.. I can just picture Morbid suffering from a chestnut-induced stomachache, stuck on the toilet screaming in pain.. Aside from that, I would say it’s really well written! Bye!

Fascinating is the passage: "pieces in which the two guitars are like two main actors who never step on each other's toes and work together towards the achievement of the piece, so the two guitars overlap, intertwine, complete each other but never step on each other's toes, managing to range from death metal riffs to jazz riffs effortlessly"... in short, the important thing is not to step on each other's toes!! Almost a masterpiece! Bye!

I just came from your review of "Immense Intense Suspence" and I decided to pop by here to see who the hell these Kobong are... mmm... such a beautiful desolation of votes/comments, huh?!?... well, let's just say I'll give your review a nice rating and let it go at that! Bye!

To say that "I Voivod have never missed a shot" honestly seems a bit excessive to me... to say that this is really a good record, no. Goodbye.

@Nekro: I know it's a bit of a hassle to respond to your comment now. I promised you an answer within a few days... and it ended up being more than two months!!! Well... the thing is very simple: I completely forgot!!! I was browsing the site and this review caught my eye and... well, I'm sorry! As for the German thrash vs. Bay Area discussion, honestly, I'll tell you, I don't even think it's worth making comparisons! The genre may be (almost) the same, but it's undeniable that we are dealing with two different planets. There's no doubt about the categorically superior technical level of the Bay Area, and the greater aggression and roughness (a nice way to say "rawness") of the Germans. Whether one wants to compare them to declare the superiority of Testament & Co... well!.. it's also a matter of taste: as I've mentioned before (I don't remember where), one of my first thrash albums was Pleasure To Kill and, for a long time, for me, "thrash" was just that German stuff. Only over time did I get to know - and appreciate - the Bay Area. Not to mention those that (according to your judgment) could be considered "pleasant exceptions": the latest Deathrow, Kreator's Extreme, the early Sieges Even... and, why not, the same Vendetta!.. so, if you get the chance, give them a listen: you might be pleasantly surprised! Cheers and sorry again!
