Ozzy Osbourne No Rest For The Wicked

@Aniel: basically we think the same on everything... except for Wylde!!:DDD!!!.. that being said, answer me honestly: do you prefer "Bark At The Moon" (by the universally recognized as bland Lee) or "Ozzmosis" (an album from the time when Wylde was already firmly THE guitarist for Ozzy, no longer a kid etc etc..)?!? I think you already know my answer. I started listening to Ozzy solo with Ozzmosis back in '95, I believe. Once I went back to the previous albums, I was really surprised at how Ozzy's sound had been slowly, but inexorably updated over the years. If there's one thing you can credit that lumbering Wylde for, it’s definitely giving a more modern sound to the madman's albums. But I still think that, considering the concrete results, it wasn't worth the trouble. If I'm not mistaken, you play guitar too.. as I’ve said, on a purely technical level I've always found Wylde to be quite uninspiring: what do you think?! Cheers!

..mmm.. mine is just a personal opinion and I ask you, therefore, to consider it as such (I don't at all claim to unveil some great truth). In my opinion, Wylde has been the ruin of Ozzy. Honestly, I've never understood why everyone is practically in agreement in praising his figure and abilities, especially since at a technical level he is nothing exceptional (on the contrary.. I personally find his use of harmonics unbearable, but whatever..). The quality of Ozzy's work has always been greatly influenced by the musicians involved. Some guitar moments from Rhoads are genius.. and indeed the first albums are close to masterpieces (honestly, I've never understood why a song like S.A.T.O. is not usually counted among the madman's masterpieces, but that's how it is..). Lee was a good worker, but he lacked a bit of personality.. and indeed he coincided with two albums that, in my opinion, were good, but perhaps a bit "bland." Then, coincidentally, Wylde arrives.. and the decline begins: it's not just Ozzy's vocal abilities that are lacking in the last albums, it's the songs themselves that aren't good! The discussion is long and I have to go to work.. I would just like to understand if I am the only one who doesn't consider Wylde the evil genius that many believe him to be. Best regards!

You dedicated a 14-line sentence (...) solely to Gabriel. Perhaps it would have been better to use that space to delve into the musical aspect of this album.

..university?!?..engineering?!? (I don't want to turn this page into a chat, I'm just curious!:))!) PS: this review will attract quite a few prog maniacs, so I take the opportunity: would anyone mind if I did the review of the first Aorta?!? bye bye!

Green, you have a truly remarkable musical background and a calmness in your writing: you always manage to convey your great passion for what you review, without ever resorting to excessive or over-the-top enthusiastic tones. As long as I have a keyboard at hand, you'll have my 5. @DaveJohn: how the hell do you manage to be in ALL reviews?!? I come home from work, click on "latest comments," and you're ALWAYS there!!! Don’t you have a girlfriend, friends, a job... a life!?!?!?:DDD!!! Hi everyone!

Are you crazy?!?!.. pray that the "finally" referring to the prog crisis is never seen by DaveJohnGilmour, or else he'll kick your ass!!!.. and come on!.. you can't cheer for Australia.. look at Kalac: two meters of giant, and every time they take a shot on goal, his little suit gets filled with kangaroo poop! Bye!

..mmm.. lately I’ve been working too much: can you believe I was just about to send you a private message asking what you’ve been up to and when you’d send a new review!!.. this completely slipped my mind!!:DDDDD!!!.. I’ve seen this musical a couple of times in the theater and each time I missed something about the ending.. but I was young and inexperienced.. oh well! You, as always, very very talented! Bye!

Nice record, for heaven's sake.. but you seem to want to pass it off as some kind of mystical experience!!!.. honestly, when it comes to the lyrics, I definitely prefer "Quello che non c'è".. In short, eighth(!!) review a bit too "naive".. Bye!
