ahhh.. that's why I had never heard of it: back in '97, I had already emerged from the tunnel of the rutilating head. Prompted by your last message, I confess I have a half-idea for a return to thrash reviews: Strappado by Slaughter!! do you know it?!?

Dear Snowblind, maybe we started off on the wrong foot. In practice, we have the same musical tastes, but the exact opposite problem when it comes to reviewing style. Now, aside from the total lack of biographical data, please explain to me why you didn't find it appropriate to talk about, let's say, the bands that the DBC's sound can reference, rather than the technical aspects of the compositions, their variety, or the singing. In short, about something?!?!?!?

@Poletti: I’ll start by saying that I’m not very well-versed in this film genre: I apologize for any nonsense I might spout. In my opinion, the origins of slapstick comedy, the "overturning of the way to conceive humor," can be traced even further back in time! For example, I think of The Great Dictator by the Marx Brothers which (if I remember correctly) is about ten years earlier. Of course, that is a type of comedy that relies much more on verbal jokes, on wordplay, while this one is also and primarily visual. Maybe you’re right in calling it "historical," but I still believe it gets tiresome after a while.. Bye!

Puni, you made me doubt.. and I took a look around the web! Well.. it seems that we are both right!:))! IMDb (and other more or less authoritative sites) lists it with 2 L's, but indeed there are several other sites where it is indicated with just one! P.S.: I should mention that even the poster you attached uses 2 L's!:DDD! Bye and sorry for the hassle..

For many years it was (I've never quite understood how "officially") censored. Certainly, finding it in a bookstore until a few years ago was practically impossible! However, my trusted bookseller told me that for about a year it has been reprinted and, therefore, it should at least be possible to order it... who knows... (sorry for the pointless comment, but earlier I had forgotten to check the appropriate box and I wasn't receiving notifications for the comments...:DDD!) Hi!

@editors: sorry to bother you, but the title is wrong! It needs two "L"s (and in fact I initially thought it had something to do with Satan...:DDD!!)

This movie is totally mind-blowing!! I recorded it a few years ago from Rai Tre without ever having heard about it before, and I found myself watching something I thought was impossible!.. even from a technical point of view, and considering the era, it really surprised me.. Yet, and I hope I won't be lynched for this, I don’t think it’s a masterpiece: after a while all this chaos gets tiring.. every two seconds something crazy happens with the image, the characters, or the story, and it all ends up being (but this is just my opinion) a bit cloying.. Anyway, truly an excellent choice! Bye!
