First and self-titled LP for this Canadian thrash band. The record was released in the now fairly distant 1987 by Combat Records.
A band that, unfairly, never enjoyed the deserved support granted to other bands of often inferior caliber. At the time, I had bought the record for the beauty of the cover. Yes, back then the prices of records allowed, every now and then, to buy an LP sight unseen! On that occasion, my instinct proved right.
The album includes 13 songs. From the very first listen, you are captivated by the band’s distinctive sound, almost hypnotic. I would define it as power thrash with hardcore influences. All the tracks feature interesting tempo changes and, I repeat, a very distinctive sound that immediately impresses positively. I consider it a classic of my collection, one of those vinyls I would never part with for any reason, and I believe it is an album that is absolutely essential for lovers of the genre.
It should be noted that the band, in 1989, released another gem, "Universe," although this one, in my opinion, is their most successful record.
