@Bisius: sorry but I didn't understand a damn thing about your comment.. what does it mean that the "exit on Whitaker" could have been avoided?!

..mmm.. to be honest, I understood this film in a completely different way.. much more "spiritual" and "intimate," than as a "corrosive" work, neither against the presumed corollaries of "traditional Catholic teaching," nor against the censorship lobby. Even the director - Matthew Modine - not only comes off poorly during the interview, but also makes a rather ugly exit. The Israeli-Palestinian conflict, in my opinion, remains a bit too much in the background.. The aspect that I believe emerges the most (but that’s just my opinion, mind you.. one could say: "the aspect that struck me the most") and which is a theme dear to Ferrara, is the upheaval of the lives of the various characters after being touched - having allowed themselves to be touched by God.. (a bit like what happened to the bad lieutenant..). In short, the attainment of a new and deeper awareness.. Well.. I'd say personal interpretations.. However, in my view, it’s not Ferrara's best.. it would be a three, but the shot of the sky at the beginning of the film alone is worth "4." Bye!

I should preface that I don't mind the silly-parodic genre at all (Hot Shots 2, the first Naked Gun, the first and third Scary Movie really made me chuckle!!)... A few years ago, I took my then-girlfriend to see "Shriek: got plans for Friday the 17th?". I thought we’d have a nice evening, share a few laughs, and break the ice on one of our first solo outings... Even today, when we run into each other, she gives me a hard time for making her watch the worst movie of her life... I don’t know why, but seeing the trailer, I immediately thought of another trashy flick like that...

The review is too confusing: the third paragraph makes no sense! Gorgeous album..

...your reviews come off a bit too much like "wanting to have the last word" on everything. As if after you've analyzed every tiny detail that has been etched onto the vinyl, there’s no room left to say anything else... you know, as if you wanted to "exhaust" the topic, saying everything there is to say about records that have already been discussed to death... I’m sure I’m mistaken, and I apologize. In any case: a valid opinion, good review, but too long and with quite a few mistakes. Bye!

..mmm.. I wonder if you would have been able to talk about the album without taking up all this space.. well.. I’ve never liked this thing about triploni, quadruploni, quincuploni etc etc.. Either you tell me something really original (and, forgive me, but I don’t think this is the case.. also because it’s almost impossible to say something new about an album like this one on which everything has been said/written/read/heard/done..) or else who cares! Really good job, though, on writing all this stuff! Bye!
