Dreamweaver was my first review on Debaser.. every now and then I go back to read it, regretting the naïveté, some repetitions, the lengthiness.. I would probably write a better review today, I don’t know.. But I do know that I am happy you reviewed the first Sabbat. Splendidly as usual, with so many curiosities, with immense knowledge of the subject, with attention to all those details that most people overlook. Congratulations.. and thank you..

@sotanaht: To tell the truth, I believe the good trooper was referring to the ENTIRE discography of the madman, so much so that in a previous comment of his, you can read: "aside from moments like 'The Ultimate Sin' or the first album 'Blizzard of Ozz,' the rest, while nice, actually excellent (with some reservations, of course) is Sabbath-style." Just as I was exclusively referring to the first part of Ozzy's solo career, which is why in my comments you can find phrases like "in the pre-Wylde albums," "before that butcher Wylde showed up," or my opinion on Rhoads and Lee as guitarists. So, forgive me, but I don't think we are talking about Down to Earth and Black Rain.

If you say that a song or an album is Sabbath style, you’re giving a definition, not an opinion. It’s like saying "that thing is red," or "that thing is hot," or "that thing is bitter." Only opinions are indisputable, not definitions. What you call Sabbath style is a set of precise musical and lyrical elements that characterize the sound of the very first Sabbath, known even to those who are not perfectly familiar with their discography (for example: the lowered tuning, a certain type of sound, the massive use of pentatonics, the so-called tritone, the dark themes, just to name a few...). Simply put, these elements are not found in Ozzy's discography before Wylde, which is why it is not Sabbath style. I repeat: it’s not my opinion or anyone else's. Otherwise, one could say anything, even that it’s, I don’t know, "Metallica style," and no one could object! It wasn't my intention to be arrogant or offend you. I just wanted to clarify and, at most, point out an inaccuracy... I don't see any reason to get worked up.

..mm.. to tell the truth, I don't think it's a matter of taste.. The first albums without that idiot Wylde from your list exclude Diary Of A Madman and Bark At The Moon.. two albums that have nothing to do with the Sabbath style (with the only exception, perhaps, of the arpeggio and vocal line of the title track from Diary.. but that's just splitting hairs). In the end, Ozzy has always made music influenced by his guitarists. On the first two albums, there was Rhoads, a genius with a fixation for classical guitar, technically light years away from Iommi. In Bark, there's Lee, who is practically a typical (and in my opinion underrated) 80s heavy guitarist whose work has been embellished with keyboard inserts and somewhat flamboyant arrangements (see Shot In The Dark). Where you can see the Sabbath style in all this honestly escapes me.. I repeat, it's not a matter of taste: it's the music that has nothing to do with it..

..oh!..Hi green!..lately you’ve been around these parts more often and it really makes me happy!!@fenni:..mm.. unless I missed something (and I wonder how..), I’d say I haven’t received it! In any case, I’ll tell you that I don’t have MSN or any other messenger: I used Yahoo’s for a few weeks; when I realized that all the emojis, notifications, backgrounds, and various nonsense were frying my brain, I uninstalled everything and didn’t want to know more about it.. :DDD!!sorry..

..master..I am your humble disciple (I even dedicated my latest review to Fu Manchu!), but this time you've written a serious review and I want to give you a semi-serious comment. I'm not very knowledgeable on the topic (on many, to be honest..), nor have I seen the film in question, but I read this page with some interest. Honestly, I also had that "pause" moment when I read about this project. I don't know if the answers you've come up with would be mine as well. Personally, I'm not much of a supporter of those theories that see international-planetary intrigues for the control of the masses: I've always thought, perhaps naively, that certain machinations are incompatible with the typically selfish nature of man. One more thing: but did this documentary, beyond the awards and recognitions, have public success?!?
