@supersoul and everyone else: I find "White Heat" absolutely beautiful.. besides "Night Without End," what else would you recommend from Walsh?! Very interesting the discussion by Poletti about the guilty amnesias of film history.. P.S.: just last night I took my girlfriend to see Ocean's 13: better than the second.. but I realize I am much more fascinated by stories of "losers." Absolutely personal opinion, but it feels like the happy ending takes away some bite and realism from the film.. Thanks to everyone who voted/commented! Bye!

..but dear Phil, come on, all this mess you created!.. we were talking about music, you're the one who brought up children (a really unfortunate choice, if I may say so.. and I can..), mothers (original!), tastes, and musical knowledge. I mean: you can be all cocky telling me "I'll show you that I have everything from A to Z" (..also a bit ridiculous, don’t you think?!?) and I can't say what I think about an album I've had for seventeen years?!? Peace, my friend Phil Metal. I have no intention of continuing this online squabble. I eagerly await your next review. Best regards.

..eehhh ..I think you're right: the fact that I can't get too deep into the plot kind of got me!:D! Thank you so much anyway!

..great interesting comment, Aristarco!;)!(even though I must confess I didn’t quite understand the second sentence!!:DDD!!)..so: in my opinion, the film has a very fatalistic tone. Aside from the ending (if I remember correctly, the film concludes with: "Let’s run!!" - "No.. what’s the point?!".. it’s Johnny himself who realizes that all his efforts to anticipate everything, to calculate the unexpected, have been in vain because of chance, fate, bad luck!) the whole film seems to be marked by events that are completely beyond the protagonists' control: think of the final massacre.. what plan could have foreseen something like that?!.. practically, it is unleashed almost by chance (the gun that George carries was meant for something else entirely..). In short, from my perspective, the film portrays chance as the sovereign ruler over the protagonists' lives and, no matter how much they plan or struggle to escape their fate, it always catches up with them!! There you go!!:DDD! Maybe I didn’t get it at all.. In any case: thank you so much for the comment!

..due to an unfortunate server hiccup (I believe), I was only just updated about the comments that came in after mine. Yet, it turned out to be a fortunate mishap because it reminded me of your review at just the right moment to appreciate it. Your proposal seems perfect for what lies ahead in the coming weeks.. I hope to get my hands on this record! Vote definitely confirmed! Congratulations, poet..

I greet and thank everyone!!! @Poletti: you’re right.. a 5 was deserved! ..but usually I do this: I only give a 5 to the disco movie that is my favorite or that I judge to be the best from that particular artist. One of the elements that makes The Killing great, in my opinion, is the fact that it has stood the test of time incredibly well: damn, it's over 50 years old and yet it's still very enjoyable!!..but I also believe that Stan has done better. So, I didn’t feel like considering it THE masterpiece of the director! I see, however, that this film is quite liked.. I’m really happy about that!! :DDD!!

I don't really agree with the approach and content of this review, but it seems to stem from genuine passion and is nonetheless very well written. 5 out of trust. Bye!

..but why, are we talking about "passera" here?!?.. I thought this was a music site!!.. it seems you don’t quite grasp the difference, that’s why you’re spouting nonsense, Captain, my Captain. You’re a record-holder: one comment, one bullshit! And, for Odin, humility and discipline are not enough.. you also need to apply yourself! In my first comment (just scroll the mouse wheel 2-3 times), it explicitly states: "there’s quite a difference between Pleasure To Kill and Terrible Certainty".. in fact, I could have been a bit clearer and said "There’s a big difference between Endless Pain and Extreme Aggression", yet another mistake of mine for which I apologize. Now let me explain: Endless Pain, Pleasure To Kill, Terrible Certainty, and Extreme Aggression are all albums by Kreator, but, as you clearly haven’t noticed, each of them has peculiar characteristics (with the possible exception of the first two.. which I’d say can be put on the same level): minimalist E.P. and P.T.K., convoluted and twisted T.C., more "surgical" E.A.. The mistake you made, in my opinion, was to lump them all into one single group (that of the "previous records"), while claiming that Coma Of Souls (yet another evolutionary moment of the band’s sound, of which you haven’t highlighted some "epic" nuances, see the intro of Terror Zone..) doesn’t have major differences from said grouping. If you think there are no BIG differences between Tormentor and People Of The Lie.. well.. then this free repetition I’m giving you is just a waste of time! The last two days have been very important for you, PhilMetallo: on one hand, you’ve started to realize how much nonsense you say, on the other hand, you’ve begun to learn something about music.. maybe now you feel a bit disoriented, but by following my advice (humility, discipline, application), everything will be fine! If the weather holds, I’ll finish this couple of hours of office work and head to the lake.. have a good weekend, dear!
