John Carpenter 1997: Fuga Da New York

@burns: the first Halloween is a gem, the plot can be summarized in two lines, but with great directorial insights; it practically redefined (not invented) the slasher. Dark Star and Big Trouble in Little China, personally, make me grin a lot, The Prince of Darkness is quite disturbing, The Thing and 1997 are cult films, In the Mouth of Madness is sick and visionary... I repeat, it has had some missteps (especially in more recent times...), but I'd say its curriculum isn't too shabby, right?!?:))!!

...and by the way, the father falls into catalepsy and (if I remember correctly) doesn’t recover until the end of the movie + an improbable love story between the switchboard operator and the death row inmate + super clever criminals who move their cars as soon as the police arrive, etc, etc, etc! :DDDD!!..put like that, it really makes you chuckle!

I quote supersoul: District 13 rocks! It's basically Romero's Night of the Living Dead, in a western-metropolitan version, with voodoo-folkloric inserts! Aside from a few missteps (Starman..), Carpenter is really a good fella!.. forgive me, but I don't really like the review: great choice, too much plot!

..DEATH RUNS ALONG THE RIVER IS A MASTERPIECE!!!!.. I even wrote a review a long time ago, but hardly anyone has seen it!:(((.. This review, on the other hand, reminded me of a thrill from a few years ago: I was out with my girlfriend and something similar happened to us.. nice ghetto..

I’ll expose you, DottorGonzo!!.. I even wrote a review okulendola on Romero (even though my review is about the Night, while your quote, if I’m not mistaken, comes from the poster of the Dawn..). And anyway, the story is always the same: you review, I read, I give you five, and I get what you say..
