Hello to all the derecensionists, I am Iras Halgor and I am the new addition to DeBaser.
In 1997 with "Legendary Tales" begins the epic adventure of the mighty warrior Triestines known as Rhapsody. The first chapter of the "Emerald Sword Saga" is definitely the least pompous from the symphonic point of view and certainly the most metal.
The album is composed of 10 songs.
1. "Ira Tenax": Classic intro that will characterize all the full albums of the band. Dark and effective.
2. "Warrior of Ice": Stunning, classic power metal song; the choral part where it invites all the brothers of Irengard to march is wonderful. A song for everyone.
3. "Rage Of The Winter": An awesome intro, delicate and harmonious middle part, until Turilli and Staropoli start a virtuosity contest that seems to have no end. Visionary.
4. "Forest Of Unicorns": Perhaps one of the best lyrics written by Turilli, unfortunately, the music does not match the words well. Wasted.
5. "Flames Of Revenge": This song is truly a blazing fire, ending with a splendid choir. Majestic.
6. "Virgin Skies": A delicate instrumental song that stands out as an alien body in the album. Harmonious.
7. "Land Of Immortals": The intro is similar to that of Flames Of Revenge, but the continuation is a succession of masterpieces. Lione's voice is excellent, as is the call-and-response between Turilli's guitar and Staropoli's keyboards - Masterpiece.
8. "Echoes of Tragedy": Second alien body in the album, it seems composed by another band due to the differences with the other songs. "Inconsistent".
9. "Lord Of Thunder": First "Rhapsody" song where the crossover between symphonies and metal meets, a good song but a dangerous precedent.
10. "Legendary Tales": A long and repetitive song, not very engaging, a bad conclusion for an album that is definitely good for being the band's first. Terrible.
I conclude my first derecension here, I hope that over time I can write better ones, but for now, JUST TAKE THIS ONE!
