I quote Kosmo. Well done, Bacon, but the film seems to hold back before daring too much.. It's still a more than respectable movie with a good reception. Just one note: are we sure that THE director is a man?!?

..I went on YouTube and watched the opening of "Spicchi di cielo etc etc".. and I recognized it! I read that it aired only once in '97! To be honest, I think I've only seen a handful of episodes, but the memory is positive and the character design is very Miyazaki-like! Well done, Pibroch!

..mmm.. it really doesn't ring any bells. I'll try to search for some images online: maybe it'll spark something!:D! Since we're on the topic, I'll take the opportunity to share a childhood concern of mine. Back in my day, there was this cartoon that was infinitely sad (maybe even worse than Lovely Sara..) that, due to a somewhat troubled scheduling, I never managed to see all the way through. The story was about two siblings, trying to chase a phoenix (or something like that.. like "the golden heron"..) to get their parents back, who I think were kidnapped by I can’t remember who. It goes without saying that in each episode the two little ones seemed just on the brink of succeeding, but then something unlucky would happen, and the happy ending would be postponed. Such a heartbreaking thing.. does anyone remember?!?

Absolutely true when you talk about the ability to disturb young viewers. And, all things considered, it seems to me that the film is treated with the right respect: I feel inclined to agree with a partial reassessment like the one proposed in the review. In short: a review that I believe is good, for a film more than decent. Not like this comment, which is as convoluted as the legs of the German kung fu master in Asterix and the Twelve Labors. Bye!

The Mystery of the blue stone, my all-time favorite cartoon!.. Pib, I'm sorry but I didn't understand which cartoon you were referring to when you talked about Romeo, the smoke wedges, and the mustaches of the sky..

:DDDD!! Who knows what the scene would be like if the user in question had a particularly complicated nickname... something like: "User Galokordi Urtis Krat threatened to come to my house to give me a sound beating for voting badly on his review of The Coach in the Ball" ...:DDDD!! If someone comes to me for such a nonsense, first I'll make them read a few sentences on cases of sexual violence, abuse of corrective means, and other "more serious" offenses, and then I'll lay my hands on them so at least they have something really interesting to tell the marshal!!:DDD!

..mmm.. interesting.. both Malloy and I used the same two metaphors (see comment on the ovosodo review): that of users as guests and that of poop. Although mine (the poop) was made, much more inappropriately, on the living room couch..

..wow.. happy even quoted one of my comments (which, by the way, is surprisingly trivial..) to make a comeback!! :DDD! I still think this site is taken way too seriously by too many people.. There are those who tell work and family to fuck off to post 15 reviews a day, others who plot to lower other people’s ratings.. meltdowns that last DAYS over a poorly received review, insults worthy of the criminal code, persecution and threats.. whoever created this site is a genius: I don’t know much about psychoanalysis and similar stuff, but I’ve never seen so much "humanity" on a site.. maybe that's why, at times, someone ends up confusing the real and virtual! Regarding the editors, I have my silly philosophy, summed up in one sentence: the site is theirs, but we make it. The site is full of crap, duplicates, insults?!.. our fault. Are the reviews a nice place to exchange views and "learn"?.. our merit. I remember one of my reviews on A Clockwork Orange by Kubrick where Poletti, Happy, supersoul, and I don’t know who else civilly discussed the classics of noir: no fuck yous, no son of a bitch, no I gave you an appointment and you didn’t show up.. just great movies to seek out and authoritative opinions. Their merit. I find it pointless to complain about the editors and how they manage the power that, in my opinion quite legitimately, comes from being the creators and curators of the site. If the party is fun, it’s mostly due to us guests, but we shouldn’t forget that we’re doing it in their home: if they’re okay with it, we can take a dump on the living room sofa and get away with a scolding; if they’re not okay with it, we might get kicked out for one of those loud but harmless farts. Enough shit.

@bjorky: but are you afraid even to immerse yourself at shallow depths, like just putting your head underwater is enough to feel uncomfortable?! If that’s the case, living by the sea must be torture!! P.S.: my phobia of fractures is quite delusional.. for instance, it also concerns animals: seeing a dog or, especially, a horse with a broken leg drives me crazy!
