Seen on Sunday. I agree with the review: not exceptional, but all in all more than sufficient. However, they’ve really annoyed me now. Although the scene where the gingerbread man looks back on his entire life had me in stitches.. :D!

Surely among your best narrative-review deliriums (although in my opinion, you reached your peak with the review of Aerosmith..)! :DDD! I completely agree with the rating for the film: far from being a masterpiece, it boasts a couple of scenes that I find very interesting (especially the one with the "clown in the bedroom"). The glories of the embalmed grandfather are certainly a distant memory!:D! As for your question: I’ve seen very little of Lenzi (and I didn’t like it) and relatively little of Di Leo (definitely superior). Do you perhaps intend to entertain us with some writings dedicated to them?!?!

Keep in mind that I'm going from memory: I had this compilation recorded on cassette and I don't even know what happened to it.. So: if we leave out the big three (Angel Witch, Samson, and Iron), the best episodes remain Sledge and Ethel La Rana: two groups that surely can't be counted among the top ranks of the scene. The Nutz always ended up being something I didn't listen to, while the Toad etc is a bluesy sound that feels a bit like a fish out of water. In short: nice, historically significant, but if you want the best of the scene, you have to look elsewhere.. back then, if I remember correctly, Witchfynde and Saracen were already around!
