But indeed the problem is exactly that: you compared this album to others that have nothing to do with Metal Church: "the Dark" and "Reign in Blood" do not seem to me to be exactly of the same genre.. Beyond the labels (I didn't think there were doubts in defining them US Power, but I care little..), the beauty of their early albums lies precisely in the variety of sound, in the fact of drawing inspiration from many genres (heavy, thrash, US power, hard rock) to create an original blend. So much so that you yourself in the introduction mentioned a bit of everyone.. Judas and Iron (who have nothing to do with thrash), Motorhead (not much), Venom (who weren't exactly all the rage at the time, considering "Possessed" had just come out), Megadeth, Metallica, and Slayer..

..basically, it went like this. It was back in the days of Inchiuvatu (which, as far as I understand, is Agghiastru's masterpiece) and this friend of mine managed to get his number through a relative who lives in Trinacria. Since he didn't know what our friend's real name was, when a female voice answered the phone, he simply asked, "Is Agghiastru there?". The reply was: "No, he's ammare... but tònna pe' ceena." So I'd say: yes, even his mom calls him Agghiastru.

A guy I know had Agghiastu's phone number (I swear). One time he tried to call him, and his mother told him he was at the beach... mmm... but the tan is really not that satanic... Anyway, some of my pure and raw blackster friends tell me he's very good...

@purpulan: indeed, in some sequences Kyashan is spectacular! Especially when it leans towards "monochrome" (I think that's what it's called..) yellow-blue!.. too bad about the story which is not only unfaithful to the cartoon, but is also a bit "muddled"..
