John Boorman Excalibur

Consumed during my teenage years, when I was captivated by anything that even vaguely hinted at epicness, fantasy, and dragon pee. Recently revisited, I noticed a few flaws (the crew reflected on the armor?!?..:DDD!) and a bit of pedantry. Nonetheless, quite enjoyable.

These days I'm stuck in bed with a severe flu: I have a high fever and my nose is constantly running. I'm living in anxiety that they'll call me from the office to tell me something is wrong... In short: I'm really sorry for not participating in the discussion as I should have, considering I'm the reviewer... sorry. I thank everyone for the visit and the comments. @kosmo & cravest: true, true what you say. However, even taking into account your reading, there are still scenes that, in my opinion, end up "tricking" the viewer, like that one with the strangulation and the decapitated head... @galakordi: I also think that the Muse were as out of place in that scene as anchovies on Nutella! @black: hi! of course as soon as I saw it at home I immediately rushed to read it! you’re crazy...:DD!.. I wanted to comment on it too, but then I saw there was yet another round of "Poletti vs Rest of the World" and I lost the urge!:DD! thanks again to everyone! bye!

Western isn't exactly one of my favorite genres, but the review piqued my curiosity!

@ajeje: you're right when you say that it doesn't make much sense to be there with a notebook checking that the plot has no flaws.. but in this case it seems to me that it has really gone a bit too far.. especially considering the care that has been given to other technical aspects of the film! @Occulto: I've heard great things about Calvaire.. so you confirm?!?

Oh my god!! I totally slipped up!! Blame it on the cold... I hope.. :DDDD!!! To tell the truth, I wrote this review right after watching the film: let's say that the disappointment over the ending was still pretty fresh. In my opinion, if this aspect had been more polished, it would have been nearly a masterpiece. There are some sequences that are really well done, especially the one where Marie tidies up the room as if no one is there... truly beautiful. In the end, I deducted one point for the lack of originality and one point for the ending...
Queens of the Stone Age Songs for the Deaf

"Me too, obviously, I would toss all the QOTSA records for half a single by Kyuss" .. I agree .. And to think that once, it must have been '98, I was in the car, a friend tried to make me listen to Green Machine and I told him something like: "What the hell are these guys playing?!? .. turn this crap off!":DDD! Anyway: as far as I'm concerned, it wasn't my intention to prevent anyone from expressing their opinion, but just to share mine, which is: different band (see the bullshit comments), different sound, actually different genre, different attitude. From this, I reiterate what I've said: I don't see the need to bring Kyuss into the discussion .. That's all.

It took me a lifetime and a half to listen to it all: at first, I'd get stuck on a different song each time and just listen to that one! :DD!.. and I don't see the need to bring up the Kyuss..

I would give the film a 4. To Keitel's mustache a 12.
Pestilence Testimony of the Ancients

One of my greatest review regrets, since I've been on this site, is not being able to write about any albums by Pestilence, the only band that, in my metal past, has been able to contend with Slayer for the title of "my favorite band of all time." The review isn't bad, but: 1) it's a duplicate that doesn't add anything to what's already been said; 2) it doesn't focus on the lineup changes; 3) it doesn't delve into the lyrics; Plus, that track by track (halfway) kind of messes things up for me... you did the same with Celtic Frost (another duplicate..), when it might have been better to talk about the album "in general." I'm not voting for you, so I don't mess up the good rating you probably have... Now I'm going to re-listen to Twisted Truth! :DD!
