My maternal grandparents were from Rovigo, my paternal grandparents were from Bergamo: both of them confirmed that in the immediate post-war period they had such tough times that on more than one occasion they resorted to pretty much any four-legged creature that came within reach... among the most delicacies, it seems, there was the hedgehog! yum yum!

Just this afternoon I went to get a check-up at the eye doctor… I swear that every time I hear the fateful question: "Do you need an invoice?" I feel my blood boiling… I just finished reading your review currently on home page (Zeotrope): are you going through a "Bud Spender - Terence Hill" revival?!?:DDD! You're a fountain of quotes from their filmography! My problem with music (but also with books, films... with everything, really!) is that I have a tendency to overdose.. as soon as I find a band or a genre I like, I dive headfirst into it until I get bored and move on to something else. Right now I think I'm getting tired of doom (even though I have a couple of reviews that I would really like to finish..), while my stoner daze shows no signs of easing up.. who knows! The next few weeks are going to be a mess at work.. time will tell!

HOW COOL!!.. both albums by Mammatus are in the de-database!! They are my best discovery of 2007. This, to be honest, I found a bit more challenging than the predecessor at first.. great album anyway!

Listened to today in the car, it left me a bit disappointed. The technique in some passages is monstrous, some stop & go moments are delirious (they remind me, although not at these levels, of Vendetta), some tracks are truly manic, but the singer is sometimes unbearable... a really annoying falsetto. In short: great album, but not a masterpiece... I’ll try to listen to it more attentively! I confirm the rating of the review: excellent analysis.
