Corralitos, Southern California. Beautiful nature, breathtaking landscapes, mountains on one side, the vast ocean on the other. Five individuals stand on a cliff, raising their arms to the sky, praising the sun, bidding farewell to the day as it ends with the sunset, beginning the ritual that will continue into the night by the firelight. The wind blows in the canyons, the earth sings, the coast ignites, the rhythm takes your mind away, altering perceptions.
The acid journey of the Mammatus cloud continues. "Dragon of the Deep Part 3" is full of electricity, urgent psychedelic heaviness. When it stops, I don't feel safe, as if something is about to happen, electricity saturates the air, a voice tells ancient stories, distant battles. Then I hear it again, it tells me to listen to the wind, the wind that changes and what it brings along. "The Changing Wind" brings new sensations to the distorted Sabbath of Mammatus, tribal percussion and flutes. I relax, the voice guides me again. Accompanied by the acoustic guitars, the rhythms become hypnotic once more, someone hands me a pipe, I inhale and pass it to the person sitting next to me.
When the music stops, I hear the sound of the ocean, it will soon be day again. The tranquility is shaken by a riff, the conclusion of the Sabbath approaches, distorted waves shake the ocean, the voice for the last time enlightens me on the value of the nature we are part of. The winds and the air I breathe, the ocean and its waves, nothing seems the same anymore.
