Excellent analysis. I fully agree. If I remember correctly, this mini had a certain value in the vinyl market... Personally, I especially remember it for the - devastating - reinterpretation of Empty Tankard! Brilliant as always!

@lux: forgive me, but your criticism of the review (contradictory) doesn’t seem very founded to me. I would say the reviewer summarized their thoughts with the phrase: "An album to be enjoyed all at once, and to be appreciated it must be listened to without being overly critical, armed with a lantern trying to find, as if it were a treasure hunt, the plagiarism to criticize Raggi Gamma." In short: if you enjoy it as it is, it's a 4; if you take originality into account, it’s not a 4. Then, of course, you’re free to think as you see fit. Honestly, I don’t really agree with not attributing to LOTF (part I, at this point... sigh...) the title of masterpiece either, but in this case personal tastes also come into play. I just wonder what other albums (of the genre and period), in your opinion, would be considered as such... Ciao!

I listened to it halfway in the car, but I realize I'm now too far removed from this genre to give a decent judgment. However, around the web, I've read that it's not a concept album and, above all, that it has nothing to do with the concept of the first Land Of The Free (more than 10 years later, I would still call it a masterpiece...). And here I ask you: why this title then?!? A joke to the fans?! A desperate attempt to ride the wave of success of the first one?! Honestly, this leaves me a bit puzzled. Great reception.

..what an awesome site! In my boundless ignorance, I was unaware of it (I also just recently discovered the existence of this verb..)! This is a great tip, thanks Pimptom! Since you seem well-versed in the matter, maybe you could enlighten me on another issue. I just finished reading "Antenna" by Randy Taguchi and, aside from a few rather enjoyable passages, I didn't particularly like it. I found out they made a film adaptation by this Kumakiri. Have you seen it by any chance?! It’s readily available on the torrent, but with the usual few sources.. Is it worth the hassle?!?

Honestly, I’ve never been crazy about them either, maybe because the person who introduced me to them was gushing over them as if they were a calendar of Sophie Marceau from her golden days. Nevertheless, I liked "the 'tupa-tupa' sick one with prematures"! :)!

Ichi was my first Miike film!! I loved it to bits and it was probably what pushed me to delve deeper into the knowledge of that director, but I don't think it's among my favorites. For sure, on the podium, I would place Audition and Visitor Q! and for the musical genre, I would also throw in a "post," something that nowadays is always welcome!:DD! @Pimptom: "Cherisma + Kurosawa," huh?!? Thank you so much.. indeed I wouldn't have gotten there on my own! Now that you've enlightened me, I feel like I can do it.. Too bad that (even with your "revolutionary" system) it's not available either in Italian or with subtitles. I mean, you can find it, but with only one complete source!

Hey!! I found Pulse-Kairo and Cure on the mule: the first one has good audio/video quality and is dubbed, the second one has good audio/video quality and is subtitled. Sources: obviously a meager number (especially for Cure), I think even less than 10 (and not all complete)! Everyone is raving about Charisma, but I can't find it anywhere: with that name on the mule, there are only porn movies... it's not a porn movie, right?!?:DD!

This one really slipped my mind! I never thought you were into Japanese horror too.. I really liked this first 3X. I saw the next one quite a while ago and it didn't impress me.. Miike is my personal guru (Izo! Izo! Izo!), I've only seen Public Toilet from Fruit. Out of Chan Wook's trilogy, I only managed to see the first one this summer, and I think it's my favorite of the three. If you want, and if you haven't seen them yet, try taking a look at "Pulse" or "Cure" by Kyoshi Kurosawa: I'm curious to know what you think.. Bye!

Watched a few days ago: quite a load of crap... at some points, a rarely experienced boredom. The plot is incredibly thin, the pace in certain parts really poor: the screenplay suffers from a series of accelerations and slowdowns that I didn’t like at all. Some ideas seemed so forced that they left me bald. The human protagonist is unbearable, the woman too, and the rat (along with its mouse friends) don’t even get me started. I didn’t understand the review’s rating: everything's great and then you give it a "3"?!.. whatever!..

..I miss the cat, even though I've been told it's not bad at all, really quite similar to rabbit. Once, near Siena, they made me eat tagliolini with sauce, passing it off as "Istrice" (which would also be illegal..) and raving about its "unmistakable" flavor: it was a huge disappointment, like hare but with an even stronger taste of "wild." A friend of mine who moved to China tried dog: it seems to be very similar to bresaola.
