The review is good. Too bad for a) the totally unnecessary track by track; b) the comment that really makes the balls roll under the couch. Maybe I’ll give it a listen…

I read this book because when it was released, it created a huge buzz. Scattered thoughts: 1) it's poorly written. Really poorly written. It uses a framework (the false interview) as old as my grandmother's hunchbacked wheelbarrow with purple underwear, and it doesn't even make sense why; it’s all a jumble of data, stories, and episodes that at several points just make you want to tear your hair out; 2) the episodes recounted (some truly horrific, like people being thrown alive into the furnaces of foundries) are surely true and are certainly to be condemned, for heaven's sake. But maybe, it would have been nice to provide a little context. Because there’s a difference between saying that those filthy communists wake up one day and go on a rampage, and saying that there had been 20 years of regime and kicks in the ass before that.

Moreover, on the website there is a whole section dedicated to the management of personal data freely accessible to everyone: Privacy In fact, I can understand that it is definitely much easier to create an armed collective of users (software + hardware) and cause a hell of a mess rather than making a couple of clicks and reading 10 lines of stuff...

Look, I stepped outside to smoke with the fresh air. I want to give you one last chance. I'll tell you right away, though, that if you start playing your bullshit games again this time, I'm done with you for good. Let's start over. Ask me one question at a time. Simple, clear, without any fucking beating around the bush. If I know the answer, I'll give it to you; if I don't, I'll tell you I don't know.

But fuck off, really! Christ, every time I try to treat you as something more than the stench of rotten eggs that lingers after a fart, you have to remind me how much of a piece of shit you are. YOU wrote: "If I were in G/Turk, I would have told him to fuck off, smeared him, and exiled him for life for the things he said." It means you would have banned him. Period. And I didn’t stick RR's comment to yours, I put it in another comment, idiot!

I report his comment: "If Collapsing doesn't come back, it means you kicked him out, now I want to see, eh... Aside from the fact that he attacked me, I want to know where he has gone, do you up there know anything?? If someone gets silenced, it means there's something to hide." So, let's recap. If he gets banned, there's something to hide. If he doesn't get banned, he's "touched on some exposed nerves." And then we are the ones acting in bad faith...

You've reminded me of so many of their songs that I used to love… Above all, I've always considered this one an absolute masterpiece: It's practically perfect, from the rhythm section (incredibly tight!) to the violin, all the way to Walkyer's voice. It's a shame they never received the recognition they deserved.

Great review for a very respectable album. I love the first two Sabbat and I consider Walkyer an incredible artist: honestly, I can't think of any other singer-songwriter with such mastery of the language when it comes to lyric composition. Each of his texts should be studied in translation schools for how they are filled with quotations, puns, tongue twisters, etc. Regarding the album: you’re right when you say it’s still a bit undeveloped or, at least, somewhat undecided between the singer's recent past and the genuine folk turn of the subsequent albums. However, there are some good tracks: far from a masterpiece, but - as noted - a respectable album.

Ah, here it is! Regarding the story "you can't delete yourself from deb." I admit I never thought about it… I simply signed up using a crappy email address, made specifically for deb, instead of my personal email or the one I use for work. I honestly don't know what one needs to do to unsubscribe. It could very well be that you can't unsubscribe. Thinking out loud, it occurs to me that if you delete an account, it would cause a cascade effect on the reviews and comments of other users, and it would create chaos. I am not an expert on forums or websites, so I ask: but can you unsubscribe from forums? If you unsubscribe, do all the comments get deleted? Honestly, I don't know. In any case: I solved the notification issue (which became really annoying with the messages: your friends have done this and that) by creating a filter from my email address. So, in fact, if tomorrow I decided I no longer wanted anything to do with deb, I could simply stop logging in. If over the years I’ve shared some of my personal data, well, that's my business for sharing my stuff on the internet: anyone could have copy-pasted my posts, and it wouldn’t be the staff's fault, right?
