But wasn't it from '69?!?!..bah, maybe I'm confused.. Anyway: ragionamiento de las minchias, andrè!! Of course, if you only take the cool stuff from the past and compare it solely to the crap of the present, the result is obvious. But if you dig beneath the charts of TV Sorrisi & Canzoni, I think you’ll find a ton of "modern" super cool stuff, even in genres that simply didn't exist back then! Not to mention the amazing things that super technology allows us young people to do!

@purpulan: I don't know about you, but I actually quite liked Million Dead! By the end, they had almost everything I look for in a band: 1) an angry singer 2) great lyrics (our guy was killing it!) 3) powerful guitars 4) the bassist is PHEEEGA!!!!!!! Now Turner is doing folk stuff!

..mm.. I don't think it can be entirely defined as a "kids' movie". I believe it can be (much more simply) included in the general category of "blockbuster-event movies", which are by definition aimed at a diverse audience. Of course, the subject matter lends itself to being marketed especially towards younger age groups (video games, plush toys, King Kong the flamethrower... kids will go crazy for it), but the film's tone doesn't seem particularly "kid-friendly" to me..

Watched one evening with my beautiful girl, after stuffing myself with nachos.. Honestly, I remember it as an endless mess. Not that it was poorly made "in itself," but all the sequences (the chase, the wormy insects, the skyscraper) simply drag on too long.. maybe those who say that an hour less wouldn't have hurt are right.

What a powerful smell! In an instant, boredom and snobbery seem to have vanished! "Country Soup" (today with even more spelt) beats "Boredom and Snobbery" 1 - 0!
