Really sneaky review, good captain!! I had that beast too, bought it for 5,000 lire at the Senigallia fair: quite a piece of junk.. the truly beautiful songs are really few; basically, they picked the most "accessible" ones and, above all, they left out almost all my favorites (including the supreme delight "Mountains".. damn what a song..). At least they had the decency to leave out Carry On..

I don't know if it's considered by the "critics" as one of the highlights of Hitcy, but I really like Frenzy a lot. Among other things, the shot of the dead woman with her tongue sticking out always leaves quite an impression on me! And then it’s very "English," and the little scenes with the commissioner’s wife cooking "delicacies" are quite wry!

@Black: yes, yes... it was just to give an example of the crap I've read about this movie :))! Yet it still continues to intrigue me. A site I enjoy visiting from time to time is spietati.com: with the story that every movie is reviewed by an average of 3-4 critics, I always find someone who thinks like me and I hardly ever get angry!:DD! If instead you want to have a good laugh, Cinefile is almost always the perfect destination! Highly recommended are Morelli's reviews on animated films: the one on Madagascar is hilarious!

Just regarding the "Malikian" cut of the film, check out what they say on "Cinefile.biz": "This time, Domink tries to emulate the style of his friend Terrence Malik, crafting a film with a fragmented narrative, pretentious in its visual sophistication and unbearable in its 160-minute runtime (but the first edits were close to four hours!). It’s no coincidence that the only truly effective scene in the entire film is the first one, the nighttime train heist, and that the entire part following the titular assassination feels unnecessary.”.. oh my goodness!! :D!!
