Rob Zombie La Casa dei 1000 Corpi

I stand corrected; you also say it in the third, fourth, and fifth lines: "a horror comedy so putrid and nonsensical, aimed solely at destabilizing the viewer, but which obviously leaves plenty of room for laughter from skits and gags on the verge of absurdity." It’s probably the best definition I’ve ever read of this film!:DDD! And that’s exactly what Zombie intended to do. So, I would say a successful experiment!

In my opinion, you didn't grasp much of the meaning of this film. Or rather, you only understood it in the last two lines of the review: this film is a tribute to the horror of the '70s, of which Zombie is an exaggerated connoisseur. The plot, the characters, the excessive style, etc., all lead back to this premise. This film is well-directed, has some truly remarkable sequences (e.g., the sheriff's death), and some color choices that I really liked. Rather, what I don’t like is the fact that he wanted to pay homage to vintage horror with a budget a thousand times higher than that of vintage horrors. It’s like wanting to remake "The Last House on the Left" with a Hollywood budget: you can do it, but I don’t like the idea. 4 for excess.

Battle, you're already making track-by-track reviews that slay, but if you keep them in a single block, it gets a bit difficult to read you. Purely personal opinion: try to break the lines every now and then. Bye.

Beautiful review. A proposal very much in the "mementomori" style.

Lately, you’ve been quite nervous, Chupa. You respond poorly, you’re aggressive towards those who don’t share your opinions, and you get upset over nothing. Personally, I feel like dividing my previous comment into two parts: part 1) (Incense-anise): it wasn’t directed at you, but at the reviewer and a passage from their review. Or, at most, to anyone who would want to invite me for dinner (and, at this point, I think I can remove you from the list). It wasn’t meant to be (nor is it) offensive or ironic. It’s the plain truth. So for this first part, there's no reason for you to get mad at me. Part 2) (the fly of my pants) In fact, I intended to make a joke about a statement of yours that, to be honest, seemed too "tranchante" to me, even for the reasons that Psycho has explained to you so exemplarily. Again, I didn’t mean to offend you. And then I even managed to make a (nice) girl laugh! Bye.

@daniloquai: forget that it's Sabbath and just listen to it. It's a great album, not a masterpiece, but it's very well crafted. But it has nothing to do with the early sound; to give you an idea, it sounds more like a Ronnie Dio record. That's why you can't start the review saying that Ozzy meows and that doom has washed your balls and then conclude by saying that this is one of the highest expressions of the "Black Sabbath"!

..mmm.. this would indeed explain many things: with one hand he held the record, with the other he was doing a zagarella and he was writing the review with his feet. Everything adds up!

Regardless of their origin, I feel that they are also "one of the highest expressions of the Black Sabbath."
