By now, going on about the quality of your selections is almost tiresome! :DD So I'll just limit myself to advising everyone to read the Gormenghast saga! The first two books have also been translated into Italian (by Adelphi, if I remember correctly) and they are little gems of gothic-paranoiac literature. Some time ago, I even wrote to the publishing house to "urge" them to publish the third volume, but as of today, no news! :D!!

To be completely honest, I was hoping for a better review of this film. Or, at the very least, I would have appreciated if 1) there were no spoilers (and there are) 2) random films weren't mentioned, equating very different chapters of his filmography like The Call and Visitor Q 3) there weren't expressions like "Miike always knows how to make you shit your pants." You talk about sublime images, and then speak of "shitting your pants"?? One last thing: do you really think this is his least linear work?!? It doesn’t seem that way to me! I'd at least place Izo ahead of this.
