No, because "things like Orion" are not thrash.

What a beautiful review... It had been a while since I read such a heartfelt one. Congratulations.

@Dottò: "Chopping Machine" is a very strange record... a dark, nervous thing: no homme distortion, but frayed, acid sounds. It's certainly not a masterpiece, but it has its charm. "Seven" is immature, not very original, but thoroughly enjoyable, more canonically stoner and with a different singer. "CO2" is already a great album, slightly inferior to "Ewige", a bit more compact, but with excellent tracks like the opener "Get It On". If you can, get "Periscope" too, which is also in the vein of "Ewige". If you can't find it, and if you use soul seek, let me know and I’ll send it to you! ;)

Well! To be honest, it seems to me that this is precisely their least brilliant album (clearly considering only the last part of their career)! Definitely not the most varied!! :DD Aside from the comparison between Turns and Little Wing, which I don't think holds up that much (the song structure can also be found in several past tracks, just like the "romantic" component), this album still doesn't thrill me. Not that it’s terrible (for heaven's sake!!), it's just that I believe the trio Ewige-Los Sounds-Omonimo had embarked on a remarkable evolutionary path that, in the last two albums, seems to have become less "vertiginous." "All," in my opinion, does not hold up at all in comparison to any of the aforementioned albums. I don’t know if the term self-referentiality can be correct in these cases... there are excellent moments and passages ("Fall" drives me crazy, just like I love the "One Thousand and One Nights" atmosphere of "Stars," the crescendo of the title track, the drumming in "Lights" is simply impressive...), and I really appreciated the expanded instrumentation. Maybe it's just that I was expecting a little more... ;))

Seen on a Sunday afternoon, which says a lot. In short... Honestly, I found it at serious risk of making me doze off. I didn’t like the action scenes at all (the first chase scene was really quite bad, in my opinion), but overall I liked the general style. Bale is, in my opinion, an excellent Batman, and Ledger is an outstanding Joker. The dubbing was an incredibly effective load of crap. For the next episode, I expect Francesco Facchinetti as Bruce Wayne, Donald Duck as Batman, and DJ Angelo as the Joker.

Look, you beat me to it: I was just about to ask you which other album we should dive into regarding Farflung! ;)) I see your Fisrt Band etc etc (which I believe I have somewhere on my HD waiting to be listened to), and - just to stay in the space rock zone - I'll throw in Litmus: they’re basically like Hawkwind but with a bit more of a punk edge. Planetfall from 2007 is a really great album! P.S.: Are you on Lastfm?! In case you are, I’m "Carewall".

I don't think I'll ever listen to one of your proposals, but I really appreciate your contribution to the site. Well done!

The proposal doesn’t exactly fall within my usual listening habits, but I really like these straight-to-the-point reviews, completely devoid of embellishments. Good job, kid.

Wow! It's rare to find you so unabashedly enthusiastic... at this point, I'm really curious to "try them"! :)))

Hi! Thank you so much for dropping by! :)) As for Iota and Ancestors, I confess that I’ve only decent listened to the former, while I’ve only given the latter a quick spin on Myspace. What can I say... they seemed like good bands, but the genre isn’t what I’ve been into lately: too metal-heavy, slow, tortured, stoner-doom, not enough lightness. I repeat: it was more of an impression than a judgment, but for now, I don’t think I’ll dive deeper into them. Over the last two or three weeks, I've really been into Farflung (space rock): their 2008 album is quite enjoyable and they’re interesting characters. On the psychedelic front, I’ve been listening to Ulaan Khol these days, the latest (I believe) project from Steven R. Smith: it seems really beautiful, but I want to give it a proper listen!
