However, that "Hardcore Old School" in the genres made me smile... :D

What scandalized the most is that "adult audience and weak of heart" and then we talk about a whore.

I remember very well when it was released in theaters: back then, I was obsessed with Japanese animation and hated anything that came with stars and stripes. Furthermore, the trailer did it no justice; as soon as it played in the living room, an immediate stench of "nobody cares about this" would fill the air. Those were also the times when digital animation was starting to show its (huge) potential. Just to give you an idea, the direct competitor that year was that immense masterpiece Toy Story 2 (which I also completely snubbed back then, but later caught up with and now adore). Having seen it years later, I found it to be a true gem in every aspect, both graphic and narrative. I confess I only read the review in bits and pieces (too long...), but it seemed good to me.

I’ve mixed things up a bit with the text and added some bold. Sooner or later, I’ll also change the editorial... These are tough days. Woof Woof.

Great page!!! There was a time when I was really hooked on them (I think an eon ago I reviewed one of their albums...), then I confess I let them slip away a bit too. I think it’s because you can’t physically listen to this stuff forever without eventually driving yourself a bit crazy. So for a while, you turn to something more uplifting, fresher, and joyful and then you start sipping pitch again. Amen.

Of course, later I’ll put one, at most two, on the review. Essentially because instead of boring us with the veterans on street corners and the brain drain (reading certain stuff, indeed…) and then about the group and the album you don’t say a word. Even the story about music needing to convey the message of a revolutionary Leader is quite ballsy, but okay. What I’m really interested in understanding is: first you say that "they did well to record a real album without editing or patching up mistakes" and then that they did everything remotely, with Dropbox. So they exchanged and put together tracks with mistakes?!?

There are some interesting comments on this page. Unfortunately, due to time constraints, I can't read them carefully and think them over as I should. So I'll just share my thoughts. I believe that Nolan is currently one of the best blockbuster directors around. The fact that there’s a widespread mistaken belief that Nolan makes "cultured films" is pretty ridiculous. His pathological obsession with explanations, with his morbid need to "make sure" the audience understands in an overly didactic way what is happening and what will happen, proves this. That said, my judgment is more or less similar to what I have for the latest Batman and Inception: semi-masterpieces with here and there single elements/narrative twists/dialogue lines that, on their own, would reduce everything to a colossal mess. However, it is "cinema" in the purest sense of the term (as I understand it): it is suspension of disbelief, it is intensely vivid images and stories, it is three hours spent sitting watching a screen, forgetting about what’s outside. And it is a lot, a whole lot, of stuff.

I really like how you write. And this time they can't even accuse you of talking about your own business. Well done.
