Coming to your dark little friend, I’ll repeat to you what I've already repeated to him until exhaustion. I have no idea why good Giuseppe has it in for me! I must have asked him 20 times without ever getting a response. He signed up last year, submitted a review copied from a magazine, and another thirty reviews for which he received heavy criticism (from many users) for his writing style. I limited myself to commenting on a handful of his reviews (I think fewer than ten), most of the time abstaining from voting so as not to ruin his average. He created some fakes to boost his scores, asking some of his friends to do the same. Since then (a YEAR has passed!!!), FOR SOME UNKNOWN REASON, he roams my reviews insulting me and giving me a 1 (as the comments immediately preceding yours show). I have NEVER reacted to his attacks (I even invite you to check my reviews of Graveyard and Dead Man from September and December 2008). In the meantime, he has declared war on this site (which is already madness, but whatever...) and particularly on me. He even opened an “Anti Debaser” group on Facebook! :D! He called upon some of his seventeen-year-old friends to back him up. He has already promised me that he will return in the fall to continue insulting me. He declared that he would rejoice when “our urine stops flowing”... Forgive me, but to me, your friend has completely lost it! That said, if you want to continue this discussion, I kindly ask you to send me a private message. At least we can avoid creating yet another delusion on this page. Thanks. Bye.

Dear Ada, I must confess that your post, in its calmness, truly pleased me. If nothing else, because for the first time in a year, it does not contain any delirious attacks on my character. This, like many other reviews I've written, is pure entertainment, just another way to signal an album that I've listened to and did not enjoy. An album, moreover, that certainly did not deserve an in-depth analysis, but only a light and conversational critique. On Debaser, you can find writings of all kinds. There are beautiful pages, from which a strong personal involvement of the author emerges (read, if you’d like, the lovely review by JohnOfPatmos at the top of the user-favorite reviews), or very technical reviews, rich in historical and musical references (I'm thinking of the writings by The GreenManalishi, Ocram, Francescobus, TheJargonKing etc., etc.). But there are also pages full of "dialectal mishmashes" like this one. Frankly, I don't see what's wrong if even a (non) review like this becomes a good opportunity to talk about music. "I don't know how far I can go": excuse me, but how far and which road should I take?! This is a site for music reviews written by whoever wants to... not a literary circle. I come here to spend some of my free time, to chat with people who listen to the same music as I do and to discover new sounds, not to see who’s better at writing! Otherwise, I repeat, I would have signed up for a contest for aspiring writers. I've already told Giuseppe, without him grasping the meaning: this site certainly does not claim to be the ultimate authority on musical matters. On the contrary! Think about it: a site where anyone (regardless of writing skills or musical knowledge) can write whatever they want, by definition, cannot guarantee (nor, much less, can it claim to have) any minimum quality standard. So, frankly, I don't understand your hesitations.

Just to throw in a bit of nonsense: the kangaroo girl Nicole Kidman, whom everyone thinks was born Australian, actually came into the world in the Hawaiian Islands (United States).
Nick Hornby Febbre a 90'

I enjoyed the review as well. Unfortunately, I have some reservations about the author. I've read Hornby's "classic" High Fidelity (which, frankly, didn't excite me as much as I expected: to be very honest, at some points it seemed a bit boring... In short: nice, but nothing more) and A Long Way Down (which was lent to me quite a while ago: I have a vague memory of it, but not a positive one). Maybe I'll give him another shot with this... mmm...

To the out of tune on the site, I would like to point out (in case they are not already aware) the Australians Ahkmed, authors of the recent Distance for Elektrohash: a good album of space-post desert rock, with some hints of Natas. Australia: land of kangaroos, aborigines, and good music!

If you throw me into the desert, lisergic rides and majestic growth, I will get those for myself. No doubt about it. Well done, Azzuccio! :)

Yob The Unreal Never Lived

No way it's a bother!! Just imagine, dear! In fact, I also find it curious/interesting that this music has inspired the same literary references in both of us. I really believe that Yob’s music has a Lovecraftian quality: that feeling of "something massive moving slowly, yet inexorably," the horrors coming from deep space, the drugged-out vibe... I would say Lovecraft is definitely the most fitting literary reference! :)

Damn the YOB!! A lifetime ago I reviewed Catharsis!! Overall, I preferred the earlier works of this band (especially the first two), but I don't have a very vivid memory of this one. By the way, the new one should be out soon... Great review, well done!

Instead, my intent was simply to make you look like an idiot, and I can say I fully succeeded. P.S.: and for you, this discussion would have been "exhausting"?! Tsk! You have a long way to go, kid! That's why you need so much time between one appearance and the next. And that's why you can't hang out on debaser and study at the same time: it takes little for your brain to fry. Now, I recommend you focus on your studies. And try to fix those two mediocre grades you got.
