Godspeed You! Black Emperor Live @ Estragon, Bologna - 11/04/15

I saw them - for the first time - in Trezzo. Honestly, I was very impressed: deep down, I was expecting to be a bit disappointed, worried that they would serve us some extremely drawn-out stuff, with a note every seven minutes and a bunch of dry drones, but instead, it turned out to be a very "concrete" concert, very guitar-heavy and distorted, with decidedly aggressive volumes and sounds.

In the San Giorgio su Legnano area, there's a pub where a thousand years ago there was that giant poster hanging. Basically, my adolescence was split between wanking off WITH that poster and drunkenly discussing that poster like shit. So I feel I can say with a certain authority that it’s impossible to give a unanimous and objective verdict, simply because a ass can only be appreciated "standing up" to observe its shape, test its resistance to gravity, and discern any potential imperfections. Then there would be a long discussion about how, personally, if I don't bury my face in it and lick it like an ice cream, I can’t get a proper idea of an ass, but now I have to go pee.

I thought I only knew Lustig for that sick flick Maniac, but if you tell me he’s also made some pornos over the last 70 years, there’s a good chance I have some other works of his on the secret external HD I keep in my sock drawer. Great post and nice mention. Well done.

Sure! It is read with pleasure and it deepens an aspect I wasn't aware of (well, I didn't know it was such a "planned" thing as you suggest...).

This review gives me a bit of a hemorrhoid effect. After the surgery in 2008, I was convinced that I had definitively solved my proctological issue. And yet here I am, less than 10 years later, feeling that annoying burning sensation, a harbinger of the impending prolapse. My sincerest "welcome back" to you, and to the prolapse.

On the 5th you’ll get it anyway because the proposal seems really interesting, but all these English words really make me shit at spray.

The review is full of mistakes, but above all it's really boring to read... I give the film 4 full balls, even though I would NEVER watch it again. Whether we like it or not, there's a before and after TBWP. And I'm not just talking about the crappy filming, but also the viral marketing. Sure, there was Cannibal Holocaust before, etc. etc. But come on, it's seven in the morning and I don't have any rockets to argue about, we get each other...

Definitely done well. Pierce is very cool. Pattinson seems born to play the brain-dead. But at times, what a couple of idiots...

In reality, it makes sense mainly for artists like NG. People who, until a few years ago, were on top of the world, and today, if they don't hustle a bit to keep the attention on themselves, risk slowly sliding into oblivion, regardless of the quality of their artistic proposal (just as they had found themselves on top of the world). Good old NG is no longer indispensable; he's in a limbo of popularity: unlike when he filled stadiums and arenas with that other crazy guy of his brother (forming an artistic duo of breathtaking ugliness that I hadn't seen since Franco & Ciccio), if a radio or a network (or whatever it is) decides not to pump his latest ballad as if it were the "Imagine" of the 2000s, it seems he has little ground to stomp his feet. Just to clarify: 2/3 years ago he performed in Busto Arsizio. Which for his management must have surely become "Fckin BstArsz," but it's still Busto Arsizio.

Anyway, I’m giving these guys a listen and they don’t seem bad at all!
