I don't know... I watched it a few years ago and it didn't seem like a great film to me. In fact, I remember it as a big disappointment... maybe I'm remembering it wrong.

In my opinion, more than a matter of linguistic register, it's a problem of content. In the sense that phrases like "Bellissima al secondo ascolto" mean little or nothing. They certainly don't help to convey how this album sounds. Well, if nothing else, you've sparked my curiosity quite a bit! :))

@Muffin: do you have a problem with me or with my brat12 (I noticed you called him bart in a previous comment..)?! I'm sorry for not responding sooner, but then last night I went out and came back late. Give me time to take a shower and I'll reply to the great Panico. We’re not in a hurry...

Well, my speech about rhyme=merit with attached VonTrierian minghiate was more of a discussion starter. I never said it has to be that way. For the rest, I can say: personally, I find some of Frankino's lyrics very beautiful, not at all limited by the need to rhyme, and surely the result of a writing effort that has nothing to envy of any other composer in any other musical genre. Choosing melons at the market is more a matter of experience: there are certain constants that can help you in the selection, like the texture, the smell, the absence of bruises on the skin... Writing lyrics - whether rap or not - is more a question of talent: you could write 15 a day, but if you're a dud, a dud you remain. A few days ago, the Justiciar dared to say that stoner bands are all the same, and some people dismissed it, claiming it was an unfounded generalization, due to a lack of knowledge of the genre. Honestly, it seems to me that we are falling into the same mistake. I repeat: stylistic limits are certainly not exclusive to rap. It's like saying: doom is a limited genre since it consists only of very slow and very heavy songs (and now tell me you don't even like doom!! :DD)

@Panic: due to a disturbing mental association, I thought of The 5 Obstructions by Lars Von Trier. I don't know if you've seen it: it's a sort of documentary. Essentially, Von Trier calls Jorgen Leth and challenges him to re-create 5 variations of his most famous film: "The Perfect Man." Each variation, however, must be shot under certain directorial constraints that Von Trier imposes on Leth. And, each variation turns out to be more complicated than the last. The result: Leth is a badass because every time he manages to make a film, despite all the limitations set by Von Trier. At this point, I ask you: the ability to create sensible, well-crafted rhymes (as it seems the good Francesco di Gesù can do), with the constraint of HAVING to rhyme, can’t it be seen as a gift, an added value that the artist MUST possess to create good rap, rather than a limitation?! (As you may have guessed, I'm not trying to start a fight... just chatting, just chatting!!! :DD)
