@Jurix: think that, musically speaking, everything that is Latin American makes me want to crap out equestrian statues... yet South of Heaven is awesome!! :))

@Omaha: hi!!!! I see that my reputation as an unwearied saga lover precedes me! What can I say?! Sagas are one of those things you just can't do without!! :)
Sam Raimi Drag Me To Hell

"Annoyed by all of this, I decide to appear in a dream to Sam Raimi on a winter night." This phrase cracked me up! :D From the trailer, it smells like exaggerated nonsense... but at this point, I want to give it a shot. Well done, Crazy!! :))

I can't get enough of Brett's character, Hap's girlfriend: one of the most crude yet sweet women I've ever met in a book! Especially in "Capitani Oltraggiosi," she comes out with some outrageous comments that would make Cicciolina blush! :D I completely agree about "La sottile linea scura" (truly one of my all-time favorites), while I'm missing "Il Lato oscuro dell'anima..." which you've now made me want to read!! :))

The Hills and High Voltage (the latter, despite the ending not convincing me) I liked: he seems really very good to me. I didn't even know this existed. Thanks for the heads up!

@Terrybella: look, I discovered Lansdale with Mucho Mojo. I'm missing the first one (Una stagione selvaggia - which I really need to order someday) and the latest one (Sotto un cielo cremisi - have you read them?! what are they like?!?) and Bad Chili is the one I enjoyed the least, but I really loved the others!! Mucho Mojo, as far as I'm concerned, remains the most "balanced," the most complete in terms of plot and setting, while the one that's the most cheeky in my opinion is "Capitani Oltraggiosi," which is inferior in terms of storyline and supporting characters (the sea wolf and his daughter, just to be clear), but hilarious for some truly funny scenes (especially the jokes about the "dimensions" of Testa di Incudine!:DD).
