Great Chief Estiqaatsi, what do you think about the fact that Verdena were labeled as the "Italian heirs of Nirvana" in their early days?! Please, Great Chief Estiqaatsi, enlighten the debaserian tribe with your great wisdom!

Yorke, don’t listen to him! In fact, don’t wait any longer and send us 3-reviews-3 one after the other of Led Zeppelin (say the first one…), Beatles (Sgt. Pepper will be just fine) and Pink Floyd (The Dark Side is a must). Verdena in the Olympic of rock!!

My comment is now completely anachronistic. I recently watched, for the first time, the video for "The Day That Never Comes": holy hell, what a piece of crap... aside from the fact that the song in several parts is a shameless copy-paste of old classics, to the point of almost making a mockery of the fans, the video is truly a chalice of first-rate dung freshly milked from a llama's backside. Things happen that make no sense, it's poorly shot, it's completely disconnected from the song, Ulrich is on screen three times and still manages to come off as unpleasant, and I can't even remember if Trujillo is in it or not. Hetfield has an obscene hairstyle that makes him look like the butcher from some 1920s American mafia noir film. "Hey Johnny, give me 4 pounds of beef," "Right away, Don Cicciotto!" But don't they have a manager?!?!?

I think I'll add you to my favorites, Carluccio. Well done, well done.

One of the most beautiful albums in the whole metal genre. I’m listening to it again these days: it may be starting to show some signs of age in the choice of certain sounds, but it remains a cathedral. Well done, Tepes.

@Fallen: "Neverwhere" was made into a miniseries that aired on I don't remember which Anglo-Saxon channel. Mala passed it on to me, but I believe you can find it on torrents, obviously in English... but it's "British English," not American, so it's quite understandable. As far as I'm concerned, though, Gaiman's best work was with American Gods!

At the time of its release, Beauty and the Beast caused quite a stir due to its technical quality and some truly futuristic solutions for the era (like, for example, in the ballroom scene). It's clear that, viewed today with our eyes filled with CG, 3D, and special effects, it's hard to believe it, but back then, nothing like it had ever been seen, at least not in the Western circuit.

I liked the novel. It wasn't at the top of Gaiman's works, but it had several very good ideas and was enjoyable to read. The movie was a surprise... it starts off in a (deliberately) somewhat subdued tone, with a "depressing" color scheme and sluggish narrative pacing, but gradually grows and ends up being a little gem in its genre. There are some scenes that are pure visual wonder, such as the "party" the other parents throw for Coraline in the garden. It's a shame I saw it in a theater not equipped for 3D. Great review.

The last video shocked me: the choreography in the final part is embarrassing... a sort of gothic reinterpretation of the worst of the '80s. And the Spanish version is even worse, because the absurdity of the lyrics is even more obvious: "Una loba nell'armadio...". One of the dumbest songs I've ever had the misfortune of listening to.

But I didn't get angry at all!! :DD In the last few days, I've been leaving very few comments: I'm super busy at work and always writing in a rush... In any case, the discussion wasn't about the judgment on the album (since, as I said, I don't like this record either). The problem lies in the arguments underpinning the judgment, which, in my opinion and as I've already pointed out, are based on completely incorrect historical and musical evaluations. The issue is not the opinion itself (which, I repeat, I find shareable), but the motivations. Take care!
