"Then maybe you'll like it too! :)" ... perfect!! that way we could start talking about ghei again, and thanks to the thematic circularity of this page, in just a few comments we would be back to discussing Terry (who so far seems to me the most interesting topic on the table). Speaking of which: did you know that the first motorcyclist of the Village People was named Glenn Hughes just like the bassist of Deep Purple?!? Just like Miguel Bosè and Luis Miguel!

Reviews as usual of the highest level. Well done Manalisho!! Lucassen confirms himself as a character with truly impressive compositional fertility... I would be very curious to hear the Hawkwind medley!!

Crazy... and I thought the full name was "Luis Miguel Bosè"!! :)) Oh, but did you know that that song was written by Toto Cotugno?!? And did you know that Toto Cotugno will be part of the soundtrack for the new episode of the "Twilight" series?!

Just finished it. One of the most beautiful books I have ever read. Every sentence feels like the result of meticulous craftsmanship... splendid.

Orco dinci... here is all the text that lends itself to a "behind-the-scenes" reading: "Us, kids of today, us / With the whole world ahead of us / We, we’re different but all the same / We need a pair of wings / And exceptional stimuli / You might not understand / Someone might offend us / Come on, let’s color this city / And then you’ll see you’ll like it / And together we can sing / Don’t get caught up / In this eternal waiting / We, we are what can happen / And then you’ll see you’ll like it..." These sound like the first words Enea said to me when we met!

Ah!! This casts a dark light on the true meaning of the chorus of that song: "Devi venire con noi... siamo i ragazzi di oggi noi..."

Personally, I see nothing scandalous. The first Bosè of "Noi ragazzi di oggi" was a versatile artist.

Regarding the link issue: the first one is easily found on Soulseek, but also on various blogs... just search with Google.

@Nes: they only made two. This eponymous one from 2007 and the latest one, which has recently come out and is almost (ALMOST) impossible to find online. Think that I have it on soulseek, but even the user stonerrock doesn’t have it (who basically has EVERYTHING or thereabouts in the stoner-doom-revival fuzz rock scene). The first one (this one reviewed) is, in my opinion, quite a fun little record: absolutely insignificant, but ignorant enough to keep in the car and, above all, nicely fuzzy. The second one (Hey You!), I must repeat, I listened to very casually and it’s not driving me crazy at all: they changed the guitarist and... you can tell. It’s definitely more varied, but because of that, it seems to lose a bit of substance... I don’t know. Maybe it’s just that I haven’t listened to it all the way through from start to finish yet.

Just think that their new (Hey You!) is even among the "black boxes" of the latest Rumore. They even define them as: "the band that reinvented hard rock" (whatever...). I used to like them quite a bit: they were raw, ignorant... a bunch of poor souls. Now it’s a bit like the spark has faded for me. I’ve listened to the new album a couple of times, but so far it’s not really blowing me away. However, maybe tonight I’ll hop over to Turin and catch them live... hoping that the Orange Sunshine have a CD stand worth the forced looting.
