But am I wrong or has it been ages since you sent a review?!? If so, welcome back! :) However, I must confess that I didn't really like this piece of yours. I'm sorry to point it out, but there are a few repetitions, and it feels a bit "rushed." The film has been on the list to watch for years. Maybe this time it will happen... bye!

The cover, in fact, is very beautiful. And I really liked the review too. How can one not get caught up in all this love among divèrs?!? But above all: is the final quote from Aiazzone?? :))

Damn, this stuff must melt away even the most stubborn dirt and keep dust mites and bacteria at bay. I might just give it a try... The washing machine lives longer with NON!
Jerry Cantrell Degradation Trip

@Alex: but darling, didn’t you get that it was just a way to get your attention and wish you a happy new year?!? :))) Anyway, I knew you would mention the solo from Sea Of Sorrow: I still wonder how Cantrell managed to play it! :DD Jokes aside: we’re more or less saying the same thing. Simple ideas, not genius in themselves, but combined in a genius way. You mentioned the arpeggio of Down in a hole: it’s just three damn chords, but what comes out makes us wet our pants. And that’s enough... A very homoerotic hug. :)

Jerry Cantrell Degradation Trip

I just want to step in and break a lance in favor of the good Tarpit. Technique is one thing, compositional ability is another. Cantrell, in fact, isn’t exactly a wizard on the guitar: almost all the songs from the early AIC were based on a rather limited number of riffs, simple, essential, in power chords. Almost all the ballads from Jar Of Flies revolve around a handful of chords. For example, the chubby and bearded Apu from Soundgarden (the first guitarist that comes to my mind, huh??) was technically much more varied, more eclectic. However, Cantrell was an excellent composer and with "little to work with," he made us laugh and cry perhaps more than anyone else. And that - in my opinion - is what really matters... damn, how Christian Democratic of me.

@Nes: both films you mentioned are by Satoshi Kon. If you have a chance, give a look at Millenium Actress, which, as far as I'm concerned, is his masterpiece, or to Tokyo Godfathers (not visionary at all, but quite entertaining). I've always found Millenium only subtitled with a crappy cut at the bottom of the screen that makes viewing really annoying... if you decide to get it and find a better version, let me know!!
Joe Satriani Not Of This Earth
Voto:
Instead, in my opinion, Satriani's merit is precisely that he inflates things a little less than the other pick-up onanists. Back in the day, I studied a couple of his albums (Surfing and the double one with the green cover and the clocks... I can't remember its name anymore) and I have to say I didn't dislike them. Aside from the technique (which, given the proposal, I’d say is the bare minimum), I was very impressed by his compositional taste and musicality. For example, Rubina (featured on this album) is truly a little gem and can be enjoyable even for those who don’t keep the scores of For The Love Of God in the bathroom instead of the Postalmarket catalog. There was also that two-handed tapping piece on the album with his photo against a blue background... bah, who remembers anymore!! :)
