Arctic Monkeys Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not

One thing: if you decide to stay among us, you will almost certainly be approached by a slimy, drooling being who will try to ensnare you with sweet words and singer-songwriter nonsense. You will recognize him because he shamelessly sports an emo tuft that covers his face and a collection of records by artists all in an advanced state of decomposition or who would like to be. He goes by the name of Blechtrommel and has been reported to the Postal Police multiple times for the abuse of emoticons... Watch out!!

Dear Anak, on behalf of the C.V.P.D. (Committee of Old Debaserian Piglets), I extend my warmest welcome to you on Delbasio. Please forgive our rusticity, but it feels like being in a class of computer engineering students here: we are so unaccustomed to the presence of women that when a girl arrives, we get all flustered and start discussing video cards as a form of self-defense. Treat us like nerdy perpetual virgins and we assure you that your stay on this site will be full of satisfaction! Regards! Regards! Regards!

As far as I understand, the excellent Robyxxx is a young Belgian student of only 23 years... I had also read the story that he actually owns all the records he shares, maybe in one of his old posts. If I had to find a flaw, I would say that it has the typical approach of the sites/blogs where they talk about stoner & similar, where everything is "beautiful/psychedelic/stoned"… then you listen and it's hard rock you've heard 12,000 times. The best of the best in terms of blogs has always been Chrisgoesrock (which has opened/closed I don’t know how many times. Now we’re at the 5th edition). I also found interesting things on Orexis of death because it really swayed between late 60s-early 70s psychedelia and more modern stuff. However, I confess I haven't visited it in a long time. @Luka: I’m mega uploading the first one, I hope to get you a link by late afternoon. If you can get me the fourth, that would be kukkagna. Then we send everything to Robixxx and that's that! :)

In fact, Robixxx has been my go-to source for stoner/psych for quite a while now... especially since over the past few years he’s put in a ton of effort and uploaded entire mouth-watering discographies (like the one on Boris). Moreover, lately a small community has formed around that blog (just think that on Lastfm he has over 600 friends): the posts are commented regularly and a lot of bands send him material. Getoffmyelevator (or something like that) isn’t bad either, but it can’t even compare. As for Pharaoh, I have the first two, but I can’t remember where/how I got them. But if you tell me you haven’t found them, it seems I've chewed on someone's blue bird. To be honest, I don't have a great memory of them... I probably listened to them at the wrong time. I mean, I think they were in line with the latest Akhmed, but much more obscure, much more stretched out, but I could be wrong. If you want, I can get you a link between today and tomorrow.

Great review! Also because it describes well what the typical approach to support groups is. Something similar happened to me with My Mourning Jacket, who opened for Pearl Jam in 2006. I listened to the first two songs with an arched eyebrow like Ancelotti, and when I got home, I got two of their albums. Well done.

@Purpu: mmm... so we can swap Nevermind with this one (http://www.didatticadelbassoelettrico.it/links/img/London-Calling.jpg). But at that point, if we mix them all together, it looks like this: Ingrandisci questa immagine :))

However, that list also misses Hellapeppa, Hellamadonna, and Hellamiseria.

My ideal cover should be a hypothetical blend of this one (http://www.ifsociety.com/img_upload/records/1693r.jpg), this one (http://zzavettoni.files.wordpress.com/2009/09/nirvana_nevermind.jpg), and this one (http://www.beatdigger.com/Beatz%20images/Fausto%20Papetti_18.JPG). Mix them together and you’ll get this: Ingrandisci questa immagine (and sorry...)
