Well, people are crazy about Iron Maiden and don't care about bands like this essentially because they do what Maiden and their peers did (better) 25 years ago. The Iron are still on a world tour after 25 years, still making albums, and if they should announce their definitive split, there will be people who would let a Great Dane bite their balls hoping to wake up from a bad dream. These guys, in 25 years, will be working as accountants and driving their kids to high school while listening to Linus on Radio Deejay, and believe me, if they were to break up, the worst that could happen is that my grandmother lets out another stink while we’re at the table.

@Jurix: Did you know I was thinking the same thing?!? Not so much about the Iron covers (which, aside from a few, like the one from Live After Death - my all-time favorite - seem pretty skippable), but in general. Some album covers are really lame, and it wouldn't be a bad idea to talk about it. Especially since there are often artists with serious talent behind the covers (the first one that comes to mind is Arik Roper - link rotto - the one, just to be clear, who did the artwork on some High On Fire albums). Unfortunately, this reflection has drained me... I'll have to eat at least 3 popsicles to recover...

It's not a masterpiece, and maybe it overdoes the sugar a bit in some parts, but it's still a nice film with great performances. Both Pacino and Depp have done better, but who cares. There are some truly funny scenes (like the one where Lefty takes back the money he just gave to Donnie, for example) and, in general, I like the idea of seeing Pacino as the second-to-last wheel of the cart, as a character forced to compromise, the loser... Why am I telling you this?

My ignorance when it comes to hardcore is almost limitless, so I don’t have many tools to evaluate the proposal. However, the suggestion seems deserving of a listen. And then you mentioned a band - or so it seemed to me - that isn’t very well-known. So kudos twice. Here’s a 5 as compensation for the few comments.

I've never liked the character in question... Blasphemy?!? Maybe, but who cares. I've heard about the album, but I've never listened to it (at least I think). Maybe I'll give it a listen...

Some clarifications. 1) It doesn't matter if someone has already claimed a number of reviews. For example: the fact that I said 8 doesn’t mean that others can’t aim for that number too. If it happens that there are multiple winners, we’ll see. Either we ask the big bosses for permission to give t-shirts to everyone, or the one t-shirt will be divided Solomon-like: one sleeve to Tizio, one sleeve to Caio, the collar to Blechendecker, etc. 2) Registrations close on September 15th. By that date, you need to give your prediction. However, for the sake of counting, only the reviews submitted by midnight on September 30th will be considered. 3) The fact that different editors have given different predictions in itself avoids the risk of rigging and collusion. In any case, I remind you that ANYTHING GOES. So let’s not overthink it, come on!

So, we need to remove the Casu Marzu shapes from the list, waiting for G's accountant to let us know how far we can go. The De T-Shirt, on the other hand, is confirmed for now. At least until it’s clear what the hell happened in Blechanguro's closet in the last year. If anyone is interested, I can put the original VHS of Cool As Ice, Vanilla Ice's film debut, up for grabs.
