José Saramago Le Intermittenze Della Morte

For some strange astral conjunction, I still haven't managed to buy it (it's sold out, I need to order it, the courier has run away...). The opening is - as often happens - really intriguing. I wonder if it reaches (as far as I'm concerned) the heights of Blindness. By the way, it's a coincidence that I just finished "The Double" by the same Saramago these days. Perhaps if inspiration (and aspiration) hits me, there might even be a review. And welcome to José on debasio.

Orcodiaz!!! I don't even have time to devour a focaccione and look at this mess... Anyway: this review also counts as 1 point in the big contest La Frontiera Fatale. You can find more information on the coupon: Scopri chi è Bartleboom su DeBaser

mmm... to be honest, these should have been sent to: 1) malattieveneree@debaser.it; 2) passamiilnumerodeltuofarmacista@deb aser.it; 3) hodettoaquelminchiadiemochepermevab enemihadettochetiavrebbechiamatomam isachenonl'haancorafattostoghei@deb aser.it; 4) perchèascoltalamusicadeldiavolo@deb aser.it; However, in the name of the "ass to mouth" relationship that binds us, I respond here: I stuffed the Blechy with tomatoes, so we ensured the presence of some tasty seeds at the level of the hemorrhoidal sphincter for the next 5 days. After our passing, syphilis will be displayed at Fnac as Special Price!

Boh! Maybe because otherwise we would have had to throw it away... I don’t know. In any case, I remind you – for about the 15 millionth time – that for questions/issues/problems regarding the editing and/or publication of reviews: 1) YOU SHOULD NOT use private messages; 2) YOU SHOULD NOT use comments on other reviews (which are, indeed, OTHER reviews); 3) YOU CAN write to editors@debaser.it; Migliore, we all care about you here, but repeating the same things over and over is driving us crazy too, you know?! Have a nice day, dear.

Could it be - of those I know - my favorite?!? Could it be - damn it - that I'll never be able to see them live again?!? Could it be that this review spits on the bradenghe?!? Mmm... maybe!
Fiaba I Racconti del Giullare Cantore

@Tragopano: it’s one thing to use a "fixed and well-tested" narrative scheme or "typical" situations (which, by the way, happens in many genres like, for example, in the mystery/noir), and it’s another to banalize and/or recycle. The same thing happens, I don’t know, in horror. Many topoi (there you go!) repeat themselves (the haunted house, the monster, the ghost...), but there’s a certain difference between Bram Stoker's Dracula and the Twilight saga. Similarly, I see a distinct difference between The Pied Piper of Hamelin and "the white lady with cheeks like apples waiting for the prince who left her." Especially if it's sung by a forty-year-old with a little belly dressed as a jester…

My grandfather also suffered from Agotta. He had to eliminate game meat from his diet. I take this opportunity to recommend another book by Steinbeck: "Of Mice and Men."

Maybe you don't know, but my favorite book is "La trappola per topoi."
