I fell in love with the previous album The Eclectic Measure, one of the most melancholic records I've ever listened to. Perhaps, compared to this one, it has some unnecessary length (though just a little), but - equally perhaps - overall it is slightly superior to this one when taken in its entirety: it’s a matter of colors, of feelings it manages to inspire during the listening. The previous albums are not bad at all (especially the one before The Eclectic Measure, whose title I can't quite recall), it’s just that - as you go further back in their discography - they have a less proggy style and are more inclined towards certain ’70s stoner-hard rock sounds.

One of the albums I would have loved to talk about if only I had more time to write. For me, it remains one of the best releases of last year: there is a rare balance that allows them to sound "retro", but without smelling musty or coming off as mere copyists of vintage prog. They play prog without falling into self-indulgence, into pure instrumental fluff. They weave in certain heartbreaking melodies (like in the opening suite: an absolute gem), but they rarely come off as cloying, etc etc. Great band. Great album. Nice review.

Burzum tends to inspire some really cool comments. I go to any Burzum page and I know I'll get at least a couple of grins. Well done, everyone.

Oh my goodness, our Valerione in that video is a spitting image of the vintage Robert Smith...

Did they also mimic the extravagant look of bands that had been successful 20-30 years earlier?

Praise the dragon. Let's beat our chests in a sign of respect, like a little man, where do I put it. 5 for style. Next time, though, pay more attention to punctuation. Cheers.

Musically, I'm not even that bad. To be clear, they make stuff that 20 years ago already smelled older than my grandma's socks, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Rather, one must wonder why they feel the need to hide their music under two layers of foundation just to appeal to the emo-pop crowd. Mysteries of modern discography.

But how?! The reviewer even wrote us two reviews on the promos of this band! So: praising "yes," trashing "no"?! I understand: you confused this page with the referendum sheet. I'm sorry Geenoo, but we don't want your nuclear waste in our children's playgrounds! Get used to it!!!
