Albert & Allen Hughes The Book Of Eli

Finally, I managed to see it. I’m adding myself to the list of detractors: the cinematography is certainly good, but I don’t think it alone can save a film that is, all in all, just passable. Aside from the initial premise, it seemed to me to draw from a lot of dystopian/post-apocalyptic cinema and literature: from Mad Max to Fahrenheit 451 to Kenshiro. The religious theme is really trivialized: Oldman’s micro monologue on "religion being the opiate of the masses" seems written by an aspiring Glenn Benton, and the citation of the Good Shepherd psalm is about as cloying as they could find. The final twist, moreover, feels like a joke and could have easily been avoided (by the way, I didn’t understand why Washington has to dress like a chocolate monk, but there it is). In my opinion, it’s a film that excels when it keeps a low profile and a bit of a goofy tone: just look at the I-Pod storyline or the elderly couple with the arsenal under the couch.

Hi everyone. I just wanted to let you know that I tried to break the chandelier in my room just like in the video posted caz: the doctors say that for a while I’ll have to eat through a straw inserted in my nose, but that they will most likely not have to remove my other testicle as well. See you.

I quote Core: I also really appreciate these ultra-effective review shots, but I think over time it might start to show some wear. For now, though, brawo brawo.

I listened to the first song and watched the single’s video on YouTube... what a shame. Really. The emotions it evokes are embarrassment and pity. There’s not a single thing in the entire package that doesn’t feel like it’s been seen or heard at least 25 years ago. They’ve got the riffs, the sounds, the outfits... and the cheesy special effects from the '80s. As for the '90s, they just took the worst of the worst, like the keyboard tilted forward at 45° as was started by the guy from Stratovarius back in the day. Even the model in the video (not even that much...) seems outdated. It continues to feel truly inconceivable to me that a musician who has spent days and days on their instrument ends up doing stuff like this... ambelivabol.

He might let out a curse live on air, like Mastelloni, and then declare in the subsequent interview with "Chi" that there are moments in a man's life when it's hard to control one's emotions...
