Woody Allen Scoop

Seen this week. It's, all things considered, a "little movie": the screenplay is weak (e.g.: why would the killer leave the apartment key lying around?), some characters remain a bit too much in the background, the whole supernatural part is handled poorly, and the ending is very predictable. Yet, it is shot with skill (in some sequences, London looks like a postcard village from Provence!), the actors are quite in shape, and some lines are really well done. Far from a masterpiece, but it's enjoyable to watch.

Saw the movie a few years ago: so sweet, delicate. With at least a couple of superb scenes (the one at the pool above all). Maybe I could sneak a read…

The Brooklyn psych/heavy psych scene is among those that tell me the least. The previous one (Ever the silver something...) wasn't bad, but it was quite monochord and, above all, a bit cliché. Basically, a film by Ozpetek. Moreover, from what I remember, they didn't seem to have much of stoner and, especially, doom... Maybe (very maybe...) I'll give this one an ear too.

After two lengthy, tedious albums, poorly played, inexplicably inflated beyond belief, and that, all things considered, have me as annoyed as a humpback whale's backside, no way am I wasting another half hour on these inept ones. Good reception.

Dear ones, thank you for these recent visits and comments. If my calculations are correct, in about six years I should be able to have a social life again or something that could be defined as such. Until then, remember: my spirit is with you, my gaze is upon you, my groin is behind you.

Cowardly film. A decent piece of shit. Apart from the first two minutes (excellent), it’s a festival of "I’d like to, but I don’t have the courage to go all the way, so I'll do a halfway job since people are already excited before even setting foot in the theater." A deadly bore: I had to pause the viewing twice and around halfway through I started playing with my phone. The women are the saving grace, a couple of nice lines, and really very little else.

Gosh, Batman... not anymore! On Tuesday they were at the Live in Trezzo sull'Adda (BG), but I don’t know if they did any other Italian dates. On Facebook, I see there are no other concerts listed until Monday when they play in London.

Seen this week: as far as I'm concerned, a big concert. I really like the new version of the Live: big stage, tall, and the lights are beautiful too... maybe it's because after spending so much time at Magnolia I wasn't used to even decent sounds anymore, but I really enjoyed them.
Dream Theater A Dramatic Turn Of Events

Dear ones, unfortunately a dramatic series of pot breakages is keeping me away from these pages. But fear not: I cherish you and watch over all of you and everyone who will review the new Dream Theater. Send it in full force.
